If it wasn't for Tony, metal would not be what it is today

I think Dime encapsulates everything great about metal is one package. The old school heavy blues licks, the shred, crazy fast thrash riffs to slow groovy stuff. The attitude, the partying, that sense of brotherhood and community. He was one of those rare people like Van Halen, Lemmy, Ozzy, etc. Most importantly, he was a really nice person. So yah, he’s my pick. If you’ve never watched the video of him at that Texas guitar clinic, easy to find on YouTube. A perfect snapshot of everything great about him. RIP.

Guy who started it all yeah Tony, but Dime is by far the greatest - no argument needed.

James is just a rythm guitarrist, Mustain should have been there lol

Hetfield shouldn't be involved in this comparison. He's not a bad guitarist, just not in the same league.

Glenn and KK. They really set the model of two lead guitars which is now endemic in the field.
