What's crazy is I hardly ever hear that his ways verse in context. Mostly it's used at funerals and such , to " defend" God's " bad behavior ". The "ways" are actually to be merciful and forgive primarily.

Actually…everyone tends to cherry pick this text and gets the context wrong. Go to the previous verse and you see who God is referring to. Indeed. God commands us to love our children, as well as, our enemies. Yet, if Calvin was correct, God must sovereignly hate a good percentage of all Believer's children, for His Glory.
