Truth. The only reason we have so many genres today is because musicians were once allowed to make music. Even within the industry. Then the dynamic within the industry shifted from art to money. I think it began in the late 80s and then reached its peak in the age of X Factor and now it's all about marketing and ticking the right boxes. And people can feel it. I'd pretty much given up on ever finding music that meant something again. By 2020 i wasn't listening to anything new. And then Ren came along and opened up a whole new universe of raw, real, talented people making meaningful music again. And i couldn't be happier. Can't wait for tonight...

Is it not strange? As a independent artist you make songs from your soul, because that is what art is. Personal, raw and unfiltered. It comes from your heart. This is your superpower!. And when a record company wanna make a deal with you, they also wanna change the real you and your music for money. I played in 2 bands from 1989 til 2006. We had a contract with my first band because internet was just starting up, and felt it was the only way up and we were young. The second band, I played in for 5 years, and youtube came alive and I said to the other guys that we dont need a contract. We can use youtube. I was alone on my view and since I had allready experienced a record company I quit music in 2007. Today! It is so nice to see independent artist like Ren and you guys, helping eachother out against the parasites in the music industry. They dont deserve real music, because they dont care . And you are doing it better anyways. Good luck heroes!

Tonight feels like a BIG moment, man.
the second song from me and @RenMakesMusic EP drops and I don’t say this lightly,, I REALLY think we’re pushing music forward right now.
I’ve been doing this music for years & YEARS, WORKING, getting knocked back, getting ignored, getting fucked over by the music game more times than I can count. But somehow I’ve never lost that spark to chase what i KNEW was possible. And what me and REN are doing,, it’s that. It’s REAL. 100% INDEPENDENT. NO labels. NO genre rules. No one telling us how to sound. Just music with SOUL && grit, and pure FREEDOM.
I spoke to a major label yesterday.
They asked what I wanted. I just said,, if I signed with you, wouldn’t that make everything I’ve built pointless? Wouldn’t I be selling my soul to the dark side? (I literally said this)
They didn’t have a good answer. And that told me everything.
What we’ve got here.. this community, this movement.. it’s VERY special.
The SB Family energy right now is UNREAL. You can feel it in the air.
We’re proving you don’t need the system. You just need belief, connection, and people who actually give a fuck about real music.
