That was true. My father used to get angry about boys having long hair. He technically always seemed to feel they should have crew cuts. LOL The Monkees was such a feel good show! It helped us forget about our problems for a while, which is what comedy is all about.

I'm in Australia, and I have fond memories of the shows, I remember looking forward to the new episodes, I'm pretty old , and I still play and sing their songs on my electric guitar which I've owned since 1976. Good times.

I always love those guys. They definitely have helped make life worth living in 60s and onward. I mean they are such a part of life by this point that I consider them a blessing and I think of them in a cherished sort of way. Like something very sentimental.🥰

Always loved the monkees and how they put up a fight to play there fight to play their own instrument and make there own songs but all of the songs of them were wonderful
