I used to have a habit of doing this, mostly due to kind of hating how the original versions turned out. But I figured I'd may as well just let the original video still be available, even if I'm not a fan of them. Plus, I guess it's interesting to look back on some of them.

Same. And if a video does get deleted due to updates or copyright, its difficult to get it back.

Yeah, i'd prefer to have the original vid around for nostalgia sake, but SonicPhantom always deletes the original like it's nothing. But that's more of a pet peeve than anything

something i've never expressed ever in here until sort of recently is how i never liked the lack of preservation in this community when it comes to updated videos. because at times, i liked the original iteration of the video, but when the video is updated? poof. gone forever. for most of my defeatuber career i've essentially avoided doing that at all costs and just unlist the video instead... i'm quite glad i've seen a couple more people do this now lol
