·"Selling" - Probably "TECHNICALLY" NOT. More likely: ·Giving away "for free", ·Using (for AI training?) ·Sharing, ·Loaning, ·Leasing. ...but probably Not "Selling". They're acting like/speaking like lawyers. So understand them the same way you understand lawyers: Lawyers mislead you by IMPLYING something while (technically and more precisely) never actually saying that! Or by precisely stating something ("We're not SELLING your data") while IMPLYING that "your data is safe with us". But they never actually said that "your data is safe/private with us." So if you sue them for "not keeping our data private" they'll tell the judge: "We never promised to keep their data private. We just said 'We won't SELL their data'." And the public will lose the lawsuit.

I dumped Firefox and switched to Brave about 6 months ago. Don't miss Firefox.

Most of that stuff can be turned off in settings and deleting history often, also depends on how you use your Browser. For example don't leave files in the Browser, don't sign into the browser, don't use remember my password. Keep it clean.

I'm permanently left using Firefox in 2024 August, i was using it since 2018, and then switched to Brave Browser, Because Firefox was an slow browser to me, Ram Usage leaks a lot and slow-browsing, even thought based chromium fork browser is faster than Firefox itself, Plus, Brave Browser has more Advanced Features than Firefox and i was happy using it for 7 Month, no regrets so fair

I'm not sure, but I partially switched to Zen (Firefox-based) on my computer, and in some ways, I prefer its GUI over base Firefox. On my phone, I'm still using Firefox, though… Firefox Sync can come in handy sometimes (and Zen supports it).

I don't use Firefox anymore. Been using it for 17 years. I switched to Floorp now.

Here's a thought, instead of trusting any of them (or any software), use all of them. Keep them isolated, and then learn how to parse your life effectively between them...

If they are, I could force them to stop under Nevada SB220. But others aren't so lucky :( We need more data privacy laws in more places!

Mozilla has gone severely downhill...No more hope for the internet.

Unless someone gives me a non-Mozilla alternative that isn't Chromium, that can be run on Linux natively and currently supported. I'm apathetic to the Firefox changes.

If they're helping to fund operations using non-identifiable info I'm ok with helping to keep them going. Though I don't often use their firewall I got that as a way to help since I do want to keep them around and support them as I'm able. I don't want to have to use a chromium-based solution since I feel like they perpetuate web customization that aren't standards-compliant. We had to deal with that during the Internet Explorer years and I was against it's dominance for the same reasons.

Mozilla has deleted a promise to never sell its users' personal data from the Firefox FAQ: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3F7Q... So, is Mozilla Firefox selling your personal data?
