Wolfenstein ET, my first multiplayer, my first clan, my first clan vs clan matches, my first international friends. my first website building, good times. I still talk to some of the friends I made then. Its an era that will always stick with me. The funny soundmods, the skins, "Im a Soldat!" still rings in my ears and sometimes still gets shouted while among those old time friends. I think I still know some of the keyboard shortcuts. Also, ptfo!! Good times... fighting over our 1 PC with my siblings when I had a casual match coming, my mom shouting to turn down the volume because "its always pewpewpew"... It was a time where gaming wasnt mainstream like today, ET was the start of a life long hobby and its a core memory I will never forget.

@Tonypollyoly

It’d be really cool if you played delta force: black hawk down on your dead game series. Truly one of the most fun fps games ever and I’d love to get you connected to the community

Toribash was so fun. Turn based, wrestling/martial arts beat em up. I played the ever loving shit out of that back in the day.

Arma 2: Operations Arrowhead was where my love for milsim games began. It also birthed the DayZ mod as most people know. There was another multiplayer mod/mission called Wasteland where the two opposing sides (OPFOR/BLUFOR) fought for supremacy over Chernarus. The independent faction was there as a third party, usually lone wolves who could wreak havoc with whatever they could get their hands on. Wasteland was unique because you had to collect food and water to "survive" and also building parts, vehicles, and weapon caches from missions scattered around the map. You could then take those resources and built amazing custom bases anywhere you wanted. Some of my best memories came from that game. From building bases at NWAF to rooftop hideouts in Cherno or Elektro, I can safely say it was rarely dull. Made me sad when Wasteland died out after ARMA 3 came around. ARMA 2:OA is really the reason we have a lot of the milsims that we have today.

Spiral Knights! I haven’t heard of that game in years. Had the best soundtrack and was fun at the start, but was harshly pay-to-win. Gives me huge nostalgia though

Very occasionally I still play Wolfenstein ET. It was my first real shooter game when I was a kid and it made me get more into games like Counter strike. Definitely a banger. "Need a medic" lives free inside my head 🤣

I don’t have a Twitter account so I’ll give my input here: I remember playing tactical ops 20ish years ago. It was perceived as a cs 1.6 clone and it never had a strong community as the latter, but it was different, more crazy and a darker tone (as I remember) and I loved it. But wat I truly remember and loved from it was the freaking HUMANS VS MONSTERS mod or w/e it was called. Giant monsters invading a normal map, coming out from portals like the aliens from Half Life. If I remember correctly the most feared one was a giant mantis-looking one, but I was a 8-12 yo kid so my memories may be blurry, but kind hearted nonetheless. Is kinda sad not seeing it prevailing as a CS counterpart

Arma 2 was a good game use to play it a bit can’t member much tho but it was a tactical army shooter where you had to do missons when you had the Dayz mod as well that bring back memories Fist full of frags is a western pvp game it was a lot of fun back in the day nothing felt better that popping people with pistols or rifles use to play a bit with my mate

@ghostyboi9186

If you talk about arma 2: OA one of the main things you need to bring up is its the one Arma 2 DLC required back in the day to play DayZ and im sure I don't need to explain how influential DayZ was
