I've owned every kind of 3DS (sans 2DS) but currently own a red original 3DS XL. My favorite 3DS, personally.

Used to own an Ambassador Program 3DS that went through hell. The circle pad completely disintegrated into a rough plastic nub, and there was a short in the clamshell joint that shut off the system when you clicked the lid into the open position. Fortunately the system still ran when half-open so I was able to transfer to a New 3DSXL, which I still carry to this day- the old 3DS had to be discarded when my family moved and we had to get rid of as much stuff as possible.

started out with the original teal 3ds, and then a blue super smash bros 3ds xl, and what i currently own, which is a new 3ds with the interchangeable blastoise and charizard plates, but i only have the blastoise ones currently as i sadly lost the charizard ones a long time ago

My 3DS died because it got lost behind a basket in my closet, though by then I had the Wii/Wii U to satisfy me enough to forget about the 3DS’s existence. After cleaning the place one time, we found it and had to throw it away since it was broken, and the hinges were snapped off as it landed in the dumpster.

I own both an oXL and a nXL but I main the nXL (i like overclock and 60fps). Both are homebrewed

I wanted a 3DS for years but my parents didn't get me one until the very end of the 3DS' life. The positive thing about that is that what I ended up with is the New 2DS XL with the awesome Hylian Shield design. Wouldn't trade it for any other 3DS.

I got a Red XL in 2014 once Sm4sh was announced. I did my best to stop buying new handhelds, but a portable Smash Bros. Title was too good to miss. I never got to buy an Amiibo adapter or a Circle Pad Pro for it. Due to the news coming out that 3DS games were dying I checked mine out and was torn to find that my copy of Kingdon Hearts 3D is unusable. I have yet to look into how to re-flash the ROM for it.

I ended up upgrading to a New 3DS XL a few years ago after losing my OG 3DS XL in a move. I was pretty bummed out but I got some great mileage out of this one.

I had a 3DS XL, the Red Pokemon XY one, actually. However, one of the hinges broke, so I got it replaced with a plain ol' New 3DS XL. I miss my old one, but I do prefer the button placements on the New model. Makes soft-resetting easier on the fingers.

New 3ds xl. I got the samus returns one, it's awesome. Still don't actually own Samus Returns, because that's when Nintendo decided to not pack-in games with their GAME THEMED consoles, but I loved how it looked.

I own an original ('ambassador edition') 3DS in Aqua Blue, and towards the beginning of 2021 I also picked up a white New 3DS XL!
