We came back to one of our favorite beaches in Bali — and couldn’t believe what we found. Bingin Beach has always had this magic vibe — clifftop cafés, surf shacks, and local warungs stacked down the cliffside. But after a government order to remove all unlicensed buildings, the entire beach has been torn apart.
We spent the day walking through what used to be restaurants, guesthouses, and surf schools — now just piles of rubble. It’s a side of Bali we’ve never seen before, and honestly, it’s heartbreaking.
