Greg's Rusty Anchor from How to Drink is fantastic as a variation on a Rusty Nail.

Hi Steve, 2 variants. 1 ladies prefer 50/50, gents more whisky forward. 2. Orange zest & garnish not lemon, and a dash of orange bitters. Nick from York

Rusty Nail + dash of Peychaud’s bitters. Adds just enough to make it different but still the same classic

The sticky D.O, same specs as the standard rusty nail but served in a sugar rimmed glass, it's one of those you had to be there things 😅

A twist on the classic Rusty Nail? Meet the Rusty Saronno! It elevates the original with the sweet, nutty embrace of Amaretto. Here’s what you need.. 50ml Scotch Whisky 20ml Drambuie 10ml Amaretto (like Disaronno, from Saronno!) 2 dashes Angostura Bitters Stir it all with ice, strain over a fresh cube, and garnish with an orange twist. Cheers!

I guess the Godfather is kind of a variation. Amaretto instead of Drambuie (I use a 4:1 ratio)

I'm not sure if this is one, but I use King's Ginger instead of Drambuie to make it vegan.

Wifey specifically wants it in a 5:2 ratio with Talisker 10 and a bar spoon Octomore floated on top. I rather prefer it in a 2:1 ratio with Johnny walker double black. Better whisk(e)y are to consumed neat.
