With the shell types out of the way, I think that should just rush the rest the high rank and do the upgrade progression for high rank.

Anyways, guys.
Do you have any kind of topic that I should cover as soon as possible?

I want to do criticism of how the attack has ruined the balance of the shell types... but thanks to that screw up I having a lot of fun with wide being able to do everything and not being restricted to wsfb spam.

@rhettbutler5397

I can never understand why Monster Hunter struggles to balance the 3 gunlance types but it is nice for Wide to get a good moment to shine while long takes a back seat. Honestly, they just needed to mostly follow how they did it in Iceborne but this is just the start of a new game, so we'll see what happens with updates, title updates, and Master Rank

@NAUploads

Hello please do an actual hunt showing off how to effectively capitalize on the strengths of Wide Gunlance over Normal since it's more diverse. Normal obviously wants to spam full blast as much as possible. Please hunt something and show when to charge, poke, etc With Wide for optimal deliciousness. Thanks!

Wide shelling has been treated like shit over whole MHRise lifespan until only its latest patch (shelling lv augment, heaven-sent, Wide 30% dmg buff, removal of full burst penalty). Same goes with MHWorld where Wide only gets enjoyable once you have Raging Brachy Wide Lv7, which is pretty late game, and it still has to compete head-to-head with Vaal hazak Lv6 Long which you can obtain way sooner. So yeah, I dont mind seeing Wide eating good this time.

@k4n2t

We would love to know what armor skills and jewels will be most important for hr builds. Are there any new skills in Wilds that could change how we play Gunlance? Will skills like Artillery, Load Shells, Guard, and Offensive Guard still be top-tier? And how should we balance offensive and defensive skills in endgame sets?

What i would like to know If there can BE any decent crafted Gunlances with the Artian Mechanic. I tried a but felt like normal crafted ones were better.

I would love a progression for high rank, helps people like me that are bad at learning specific mechanics and stuff

Im at endgame and I'm still working on if artian weapons out classes the other GLs, seems likely not. Going to be moving on to artillery vs raw attack boost, but still only have lvl 1 artillery decos

Long is more consistant, with wide I miss stuff when I combo out of guardpoint. With a moving monster long just feels better. On top of that, Gravios GL has 400 blast. The only downside is the lack of a second 3-slot. Am I missing something power-wisd?

All we need now is for wyvern stake to crit like monster hunter now ….

@Mr.Fahrenheit825

As far as voicing criticisms, I really do feel like the whole Wyrmstake Full Blast combo has really overridden the movesets of the shelling types. For Normal that's perfect, and Wilds absolutely nailed the improvements to Normal Shelling, but for Wide and Long it definitely feels detrimental to their identities and what made them special. Wide is affected, though it still retains it's distinctiveness, but I feel like Long really is suffering now because it doesn't do anything well. I know that Long in Sunbreak was somewhat in a similar situation, but at the very least there was Wyrmstake Spam that gave it a specific and unique playstyle that was actually viable and didn't feel like you were intentionally gimping yourself (that got even better when they buffed the Wyrmstake in the Amatsu update). I really don't see Long having anything like that with its current state.
