Juke Joint sequence was one of the most captivating scenes I’ve seen in quite sometime. And I’m in the theater a lot lol

Such a multilayered movie, the love between Smoke and Annie is an example of Black Love that is rarely displayed on the big screen and the ending had my eyes watering. The Classic Blue selection in relation to music being the gateway to the soul, the "vampire" seemingly coming from the sky and the fact that he knew and recited the Lords Prayer along with Sammie saying that is always brings him comfort... Oh we can have conversations about that for hours

That was an awesome movie! I love how the story wove history and folklore and reality, crossing generations. So well worth the wait.

Something I don’t think others may notice is the significance of color usage. The striking red and blue of Smoke and Stack. The orange (or yellow) outfit Sammy was wearing… There’s other parts were the colors stuck out to me but yeah, colors had a subtle symbolism to them in my opinion

Saw it last night. One of the best vampire movies I've seen so far imo!

Gonna see it with my best friend next week. They love horror, I love action, and you can never go wrong with Ryan Coogler.

This film inspires me to consider investing in land, yet it also highlights that not every deal is as straightforward as it appears.🎉😢

I absolutely loved it. There's a lot to unpack, but a lot happened in there that my soul needed ✊🏿

No spoilers except to say it's good, multilayered and I cried at "that" scene (goosebumps, so beautiful) and I want to watch it again and convince more people. If you have a heart for art, you'll understand it even more.

No no no .. It was 3 different movies in one with no questions answered.. if the movie skated over so many deep topics and switched scenes like it was a race to the finish line .. the vampires could have been removed all together why were they there .. this movie had me saying okay but why so many times with no answer .. so many deep topics skated over like a small flash of its existence at some point in time was enough .. this could have been 3 different movies 🫨 racked my brain with so many “wait why is this there are they going to talk about it .. NOPE

I love vampires but I can’t watch movies with eggsual content in it. It’s Super triggering for me😞. But Hailee Steinfeld is a great actress, I am happy to see her career blossom. Been watching her since she was doing music back in 2015
