RealLifeLore

YouTube has once again demonetized my most recent video about the Amazon Rainforest for allegedly containing "Adult content - sexual behavior, language, or expressions", and the most frustrating part is that the video is nearly 50 minutes long and they don't tell you WHERE exactly in the video the problem supposedly is to allow you to even try to fix it with a cut or blur. The video contains no adult content whatsoever and talks about (and shows) the Indigenous people of the Amazon Rainforest, and I was very careful combing through the video's edit to make sure that no nudity was shown on screen at all. But that's still not good enough for YouTube's byzantine bureaucracy who refuses to even tell its creators what, precisely, is wrong in the video and how to fix it.

It gets harder and harder to justify making these kinds of videos on YouTube when the site just keeps slapping you with demonetization and age-restrictions, so if you'd like to support the continuation of my work, please consider subscribing to Nebula go.nebula.tv/reallifelore. I don't run a Patreon or anything else, so signing up to Nebula is the best way to support what I'm doing. Thank you

@smith9808

It’s insane when you see all these music videos.

@Dyldoughbread

Bro what's their problem. Your content is educational and isn't even remotely inappropriate

@LiteralSwan

I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to spend days or weeks on a video just to get barely anything out of it due to demonetisation...

@danofall8394

They should provide timestamps of the purported content in violation to all accused creators. If a cop impounds your car he has to tell you what the specific reason or reasons were. Blows my mind.

Meanwhile naked bots have plagued the platform and nothing done about it 🤦‍♂

You have made some of the most in-depth and fascinating content I’ve seen over the last 7 years. Please continue your excellent work!

@saint-miscreant

it’s like they’re trying to drive all of the good creators, critical thinkers and mature nuanced discussions of sensitive topics off the platform 🙄 just another example of Google’s continued ensh!tiffication of its products… and yes i’m preemptively censoring myself. this is absur

@Aroid_Hunter

Legitimately the only channel that I've ever actually considered subscribing off platform because the content is so good. I'm going to look into it

I had the opportunity to watch the entire Amazon video, and I want to thank you for creating such an enjoyable and informative piece of content. I'm sorry to hear that the video was taken down, but please know that it was greatly appreciated.

I pay £20 a month for YouTube Premium and I want the creators I follow to be properly remunerated.

I saw the video recently, there is absolutely zero reason this should have happened. Your content is great and shouldn't be punished like this. I'm sorry to keep hearing about YT doing YT things 😔

Good on you for calling them out. Many leaders and decision makers of these large companies need to be taken out

You are one of my favorite youtubers. It's really frustrating how YouTube demonizes educational content you'd have access to at a fairly young age (but with less in-depth information). I read about wars in school when I was 10 or something...

Watched (mostly listened) to this full video yesterday, very good documentary style video! It really deserves getting good ad revenue!

It shocks me they don't provide better support to a channel with 7.5 mil subs...

Nebula member here: YT needs to do better! I do miss the comment sections when I watch on Nebula, so I’m glad you still post to both ❤️
