Shorts will be a good way to keep us informed without having to go through all the trouble of making a long vídeo, editing, recording, voice over, etc. You can just show off the new feature with a little text explaining and that’s it, done! Another creator i follow also uses shorts as a way to figure out problems, cause sometimes someone will leave a comment that will help them fix a problem that couldn’t quite put their finger on.

Careful not to design the game for a YouTube audience instead of someone who will play it.

Shorts drag people into watching more shorts which is a net negative imo

If you're going to do shorts, could you possibly do 'compilations' every so often of them so that the video isn't lost content for people not interested in shorts but still interested in the project? (Ideally not sliced to the vertical resolution either.)

You should also upload the shorts on tiktok! You usually get more views over there, than on YouTube :))

I don't want to watch shorts, but I think you should make them anyway to advertise the game to new people

Shorts can be a good way to show off your ideas and new stuff, without having to justify it being in a long form video

I'll take whatever I can get! I've been watching your devlog videos since I first found the channel early during Patch Quest's development and look forward to seeing whatever you create!

0% No, probably because only 2 people have voted as of now... but that's still a win

Hey everybody, there's been no Anthill Village videos lately because I've been focused on building a Steam demo (which is now almost complete!)
As a solo dev, it can be tricky to balance YouTube with actual development sometimes. But somebody from the Discord community suggested I make some YouTube Shorts during these dry spells. They could show off each new feature as I create it.
