Basses, I need some more bass reviews from a metal producer viewpoint. Long scales, short scales, multiscales, active, passive, cheap vs expensive etc

Definitely need more bass reviews. It seems like there’s a lack of quality metal bass reviews. And cheap but gig worthy amps too.

I want to see a full breakdown of one of your finished songs. I'd love the pointers on what you do to each instrument. There are very few references out there to totally unedited instruments. I don't know if my recording, or my mixes suck lol.

You've said it yourself. This is a studio/recording channel, not a guitar channel.

Studio gear. Specifically, gear and tutorials for beginners, and broke people. For example, I want to get a Behringer RD-8 analog drum machine. I want to record it live in reaper with each sound having it's own track so I can mix it. I know I probably need a mixer of some sort, but I can't find the right gear to set this up. I don't want to spend money on any of it until I know I can record it the way I want. It should be simple, right?

This post just randomly inspired me to photograph a series of guitar prints. Perfect opportunity to test out my new flashpoints. Thanks Glenn.
