Lailat Al-Miraj Mubarak! Miraj Sharif is an event to celebrate and commemorate. Talking about it as a miracle and from a theological perspective is very good, important and necessary but we also have to understand that iman is also a matter of the heart. When we celebrate these great events, thatâs when we give it great regard. The intention is as Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) celebrated his Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), that is our first and foremost intention. Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) says in the Quran (English translation), âRemember Me/engage in My remembrance and I will commemorate you.â [Quran 2:52] One of the ways of Allah (subhanahu wa taâala), one of the sunnahs of Allah, is on this earth, he ensures that those who are beloved to him, they become distinguished amongst everyone

This book is a must read for everyone and covers the creedal points of the Aqeedah of Ahl-us-Sunnah wa-al Jama'ah. Without proper Aqeedah in accordance with Sunni aqeedah or Aqeedah of Ahl-us-Sunnah wa-al Jama'ah, good deeds and acts of worship are not accepted. May Allah guide us all and may Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) bless all of you!đ Great work on this channel May Allah grant you the highest reward in this world and in the hereafter!đ€Č

As I mentioned last night, Imam Ghazali says as long as the content of any poetry is good, to engage with such poetry appropriately is also good. Our Beloved Messenger ï·ș is reported to have said, âSome forms of poetry certainly carry wisdom.â In this section, Imam Ghazali brings an important point, he says hyperbole, to deliberately exaggerate is part and parcel with poetry. It is understood that this exaggeration, this hyperbole is to further beautify the meaning, to lay stress upon it. Itâs understood itâs not to be taken literally. This does not count as lying. In this Imam Ghazali brings a beautiful Hadith, our very dear Mother Sayyida Aisha (radiallahu taâala anha), she says âI was once sitting with the Messenger of Allah ï·ș and I was spinning some thread all the while the Beloved Messenger of Allah ï·ș was busy mending his shoes.â She says, âI laid my eyes upon him and I noticed beads of sweat begin to form on his ï·ș brow and they began to emanate noor (light), I was in awe. And the Messenger of Allah ï·ș looked at me and he says âOh Aisha what happened? You seem perplexed. And I responded to him that âas you were toiling away, mending your shoes, I noticed the beads of sweat began to form on your brow ï·ș. And they began to sparkle with noor. If only the great poet Abu Kabir Hudhaliyy laid his eyes upon you, he would know that his lines of poetry are actually for you.â And the Beloved Messenger ï·ș inquires, âWhat does Abu Kabir say?â And Sayyida Aisha (radiallahu taâala anha) responds, she says he says, âIf you were to lay your eyes upon the lines of his forehead, they flash like the lightning cloud in the sky.â And as she says this the Beloved Messenger ï·ș becomes filled with joy and he approaches her and he kisses her between her eyes and he says, âOh Aisha! On my behalf, may Allah reward you.â He says, âI am more pleased with you than you are with me.â May Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) bless us all to recite poetry in praise of our Beloved Messenger ï·ș and then bless us to be recipients of his ï·ș pleasure with us!đ This is authentic and narrated in Dala'el Al-Nabuwa for Imam Abu Nuaym with isnad including Imam Bukhari and Imam Ibn Khuzayna

Just a correction from you video about the Bible vs Quran: Isa (alayhi salam) spoke Aramaic, not Hebrew. The Torah though was originally Hebrew though so thatâs correct

Imam Ghazali does mention if the content is good, then itâs good. If the content is blameworthy, it arouses desires, its inappropriate, it spurs base impulses than it is not permissible. If it is good than it is something that we can take advantage of. And personally, one highlight of my hobbies is almost every time I sit in the car, I play naats/nasheeds and thatâs such a great highlight among my hobbies, Islamic nasheeds, poetry of our Beloved Messenger ï·ș and because I listen to thatâs what I listen to almost every time I sit in the car, it improved and assisted me in our relationship and love for our Beloved Messenger ï·ș. Urdu nasheeds and Urdu poetry of our Beloved Messenger ï·ș is great and great for those who understand Urdu absolutely 100% but many of our children do not understand the native languages of the Muslim world and in a sense theyâre deprived of that rich literature, the rich poetry in praise of Allah (subhanahu wa taâala), in praise of the Messenger ï·ș, poetry that carries great meaning, they donât have access to it. This is why those of us who have tasted that rich Muslim culture, it does fall upon us to produce literature, to produce poetry in Praise of Allah (subhanahu wa taâala), in Praise of the Messenger ï·ș in a world where the vehicle of poetry is used to spread degeneracies, we pray that Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) blesses us to be amongst those who use this very vehicle of poetry to instead spread the love of Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) and his Messenger ï·ș

Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) says in the Quran (English translation), âGlory be to the One (Glory be to Allah) who took his servant on a nightly journey from Al-Masjid Al-Haram (in Mecca) all the way to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa.â [Surah Isra/Surah Bani Israel verse 1] That Masjid Al-Aqsa, Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) says âWe have blessed its surroundings so that Allah may show his Beloved Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) the marvelous signs of Allah (subhanahu wa taâala). This was a period in the Messengerâs life (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) that was the most difficult. As he is in this stage of his life amongst the people of Mecca, and they are rejecting him in the ugliest way, he visits the People of Taâif, this area outside of Mecca to see whether they receive the message and they too reject the message of Islam, refuse to accept our Beloved Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) in th ugliest way. His beloved wife, Sayyidah Khadijah (radiallahu taâala anha), she passes away, his support in his uncle Abu Talib, he passes away. This was the most difficult time of the life of our Beloved Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). It is during this period that Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) blesses him with the miraculous journey of Isra, the journey from Mecca all the way to Masjid Al-Aqsa in Palestine. And then the journey of Miraj there onward where from Palestine in Masjid Al-Aqsa, he then ascends to the Heavens. It is in this journey where Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) establishes the contrast, it doesnât matter one bit whether the wretched reject you, it doesnât matter at all. Even if the whole world is against you, as long as you are loved by Allah (subhanahu wa taâala), as long as Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) is pleased with you, thatâs all that matters. In this journey, Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) takes him on this journey and there are delegations of Prophets, delegations of Angels, the best of them standing ready tasked by Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) to welcome the Beloved Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) during every stage of this journey. And these angels, the best of them, these Prophets, are standing eagerly to welcome the Beloved of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) for whom this journey was arranged by Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) himself. This journey that wasnât arranged for anyone ever before. Even the greatest of Prophets were not given this miraculous journey. And many of the great gifts that our Beloved Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) was gifted with, during this journey, even the greatest of Prophets were only to receive these gifts in the afterlife, in Heaven. Yet during his earthly life (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), thatâs when heâs given these gifts. And in this journey, a question arises, why is it, had Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) wanted, Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) says in the Quran, the reason he took his Beloved (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) on this miraculous marvelous journey is to show him the signs of Allah (subhanahu wa taâala), the marvels of his creation, the world of the unseen. Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) could have directly taken him to the Heavens from the blessed city of Mecca. But there is great wisdom behind why Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) first took him to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa before Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) takes him on this heavenly journey

In Masjid Al-Aqsa, as everyone was gathered to pray, all the Prophets knew that though he is the Prophet who came after everyone in terms of time, but when it comes to status, heâs the one who first and foremost amongst them and heâs brought forth before them to lead them in prayer. And this is why our great Imam - Imam Ahmad Raza Khan he says, âIn this prayer of Aqsa, this is the secret of it for the meaning of First and Last to become apparent.â As Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) makes him lead the prayer in Masjid Al-Aqsa, Palestine, Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) wants to establish one fact, and that is that Our Beloved Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) amongst his names is âAl-Awwalâ - amongst all of creation in status, he is the first. âwa Akhirâ thatâs amongst his names, âThe Finalâ - in terms of time, heâs the Final Prophet. Ala Hazrat - Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (rahimahullah taâala) the great scholar from the Indian subcontinent he says âthis is the secretâ. Had Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) wanted, he couldâve directly gone to the Heaven but he doesnât go to the Heaven first. He first stopped at Masjid Al-Aqsa in Palestine and Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan says what the secret is behind that - He says the secret is to establish that he is the First in status and when it comes to coming he is the Final Prophet, he Seals Prophethood, after him there will be no prophet. Imam Ahmad Raza Khan continues - Behind him are all of the Prophets, they are the leaders of all of the creation and theyâre standing with their hands folded in prayer behind our Beloved Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). The great honor we have to be from his Ummah. What a great honor Alhumdulillah! This is amongst the greatest honor until the day we die we can never lose sight of this. As long as we remember this, we pray that on the Day of Judgement just this gratitude will make us be the closest of all of people to him (sallallahu alayhi wasallam)!đ

When the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) went to Masjid Al-Aqsa on the night of Isra & Miraj, as heâs praying, Angel Jibril/Gabriel (alayhi salam) puts him forward (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and all of the prophets are there. He went from Masjid Al-Haram in Mecca traveling to Masjid Al-Aqsa and on his journey there, he sees Sayyiduna Musa/Moses (alayhi salam) praying in his grave; death is not eradication of existence. Just because someone dies doesnât mean they vanish from existence. On this journey, he sees Sayyiduna Musa (alayhi salam) praying in his grave. He saw miracles after miracles on this journey. He traveled and from that distance he saw Sayyiduna Musa (alayhi Salam) and Sayyiduna Musa (alayhi salam) also was at Masjid Al-Aqsa to pray behind our Beloved Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). Sayyiduna Ibrahim (alayhi salam) known as the Father of Prophets, and everyone was standing behind him as our Beloved Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) heâs the one who lead them in prayer. In this journey, Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) brings him to Masjid Al-Aqsa to establish for not just the world that we live in, but even for the world of the unseen, the world of souls, the world of angels, that the best of creation is RasulAllah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). As the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) was in Masjid Al-Aqsa, Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) brought him there to establish to the entire world, that even the Prophets who are so beloved to Allah, you have Sayyiduna Ibrahimâs title as âKhalilAllahâ (the friend of Allah), Sayyiduna Musa (alayhi salam) his title is âKalimAllahâ (the one who speaks to Allah), Sayyiduna Isa/Jesus (alayhi salam) his title is RuhAllah (since he is a special created soul that Allah created without a father) and Kalimatullah (since he was born without a father by the means of Allahâs speech Kun faya Kun) and theyâre all in the presence of the Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) his title is HabibAllah (the Beloved of Allah) and amongst all the prophets he (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) is the one who is most beloved and Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) on this journey established that. And the greatest blessing for us is that Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) blessed us to be born and to live as followers of his most Beloved (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and if we ever lose sight of that, thatâs the greatest travesty. So many people practice Islam but they donât prioritize love for the Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) being heedless and ignorant of the blessing of being from his Ummah that is the greatest loss. Alhumdulillah! - We are from the ummah of HabibAllah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam)

Great video Mashallah! I also wanted to share about how I love being in the mountains especially forest covered mountains. It is so peaceful, the scenery is so beautiful. Narrated Abu Saâid Al-Khudri (radiallahu taâala anhu): âSomebody asked, "O Allah's Messenger ï·ș! Who is the best among the people?" Allah's Messenger ï·ș replied "A believer who strives his utmost in Allah's Cause with his life and property." They asked, "Who is next?" He replied, "A believer who stays in one of the mountain paths worshipping Allah and leaving the people secure from his mischief.â [Sahih Bukhari 2786]. We see of going to the mountains to contemplate and ponder on Allahâs signs, ponder and worship Allah there. This past summer I went to the Blue Ridge Mountains in Western North Carolina which is in my opinion the best place in the whole country. Places like Pisgah National Forest, Nantahala National Forest, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gorges State Park, DuPont State Forest and Chimney Rock State Park. I love it and truly reminds me of Allah and I love to contemplate on Allahâs signs. I went there for hiking, camping, sightseeing, seeing waterfalls, praying, dhikr and salawat and going to the top of mountains like Mount Pisgah, Mount Mitchell, Mount Lynn Lowry Overlook, Cold Mountain, Waterrock Knob, and Clingmanâs Dome. I find it to be the best place in the country for contemplating on the signs of Allah. This region also is a rainforest, not a tropical rainforest but a temperate rainforest. A temperate rainforest is a rainforest that experiences the 4 seasons rather than being warm all year round like a tropical rainforest. So this region experiences heavy rain frequently which is so nice alhumdulillah. I also went stargazing there at one of the Astronomical Observatories there and looked through telescope. I also enjoyed making wudu from the fresh flowing mountain rivers/streams and waterfalls and drinking from them and from mountain springs there as well. I also went stargazing there at one of the Astronomical Observatories there and looked through telescope. Grassland Mountain Observatory and Lookout Observatory in Asheville are great. Another fun thing is Whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River which is a flowing river thatâs very clean, clear and cold. Also, another important thing to know, any permissible action that is done with an intention to please Allah or done with the intention of his pleasure and reward or becoming closer to him becomes mustahab. So if someone for example goes to visit a waterfall or climb the top of the mountain and makes the intention for example and says âYa Allah I intend to do this to contemplate on your signs and become grateful to you for the beauty you have created.â Or if someone eats or drinks halal food or halal drink and says âYa Allah my intention in eating this halal food or drinking this halal drink be that spring water, honey, fruit juice, smoothies, etc, is so I can become more grateful for the halal things you have provided for usâ then it now becomes a mustahab action. Any act that is merely permissible but is done with the sake of a good intention for Allahâs pleasure now becomes mustahab. You also may have heard about what happened this past September in the mountains of Western NC where Storm Helene made landfall there as a tropical storm and between 10-20 inches of rain there fell in just 40 hours with some places even got as much as 30 inches of rain in just 40 hours and there was major flooding and landslides, homes were washed away, sinkholes in roads, and roads were washed away from landslides. May Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) make things better there and grant ease to those people and especially may Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) for the sake of his Beloved Rasul (sallallahu alayhi wasllam) grant ease, mercy and victory to the people of Gaza, Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Rohingya, Kashmir, Sudan, Somalia, Afghanistan, India, the Uyghurs in China and elsewhere and stop their enemies!đ€Č

What Imam Ghazali (rahimahullah) discusses about poetry. When it comes to music particularly, the music that we universally have today is just not permissible. Our Beloved Messenger ï·ș in too many Ahadith has warned against musical instruments, prohibited them. Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (rahimahullah) states that the Ahadith on the prohibition of musical instruments are at the level MUTAWATIR. The standard Hanafi madhab position too also is that the daff also is not permissible and even tapping a stick in a melodious way also is not permissible. Also, the fatwa of Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (rahimahullah) with regards to the daff is that it is not permissible to play or listen to and the Ahadith that indicate it being permitted on Eid or weddings is about children, it is okay for children to beat the daff on Eid or weddings but not for anyone else. This is the fatwa of Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (rahimahullah). Of course this doesnât mean he is a mujtahid like Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Muhammad or Abu Yusuf, but that doesnât mean a great learned Muslim scholar canât give fatwa based on the ijtihad of the mujtahid you follow just because you arenât a mujtahid yourself. Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (rahimahullah) is a muqallid of the Hanafi madhab and a great scholar of Ahl-us-Sunnah Wal Jamaâah and thatâs why we love Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (rahimahullah taâala) so much because he is a complete wholistic representative of Ahl-us-Sunnah wa-al-Jamaâah. Back to Imam Ghazali (rahimahullah) on poetry, when it comes to just poetry, Imam Ghazali (rahimahullah) says to have pure sessions of poetry, poetry for the sake of poetry, just for the sake of its craft instead of using it as a vehicle for good, thatâs blameworthy. Poetry is very addictive. Many Arabs were consumed by it, they were so obsessed with poetry, just stuffing their minds with it, wasting so much time trying to craft different types of poetry and becoming so invested in it that they would waste their lives away. Our Beloved Messenger ï·ș warned us sternly against stuffing our minds with poems with songs, with lyrics, with verses. Life on earth is very short. We donât want that we do anything that is wasteful. We have to be meaningful in everything that we do. Imam Ghazali mentions that a scholar was once asked about poetry and he responded âI would much rather engage in the remembrance of Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) than I would to engage in poetry.â And this applies to so many other forms of speech that we should much rather engage in the dhikr of Allah (subhanahu wa taâala) than engage in those forms of poetry that are a waste of our time. So many of us have so many songs memorized, so many verses of songs and poetry memorized. How much of the Quran do we have memorized? Increasingly we are failing in our memorization of the Quran. It is not mandatory for every individual to memorize it entirely but at the very least you should memorize the major Surahs. You should memorize at least the 30th Juz, just have that culture of memorizing the Quran versus memorizing songs. Poetry is a very powerful vehicle
