Gah - I've somehow turned Comments off on my channel, only days after making a video saying how much I love the Comments! I'm ham-fistedly trying to figure out how to switch them back on, but my only tech support at the moment is a little Schnauzer who's neither tech-savvy nor interested -

Surely David Murphy can just fly over and fix it.

My understanding is that if you want good technical support then the Dachshund is the dog for you

Go to YouTube studio, click on your icon in top right, then settings, make sure your audience is set as "not for children" otherwise it turns off comments

Have you read The new Christopher Marlowe biography Dark renaissance. I was tempted to pick it up whilst book shop browsing today

Hmm.. true, the only option given is to hype the video. I wonder which one to hype 🙃 The latest, surely

How annoying. You’ve probably already tried these 2 ideas, but in-case not: On a computer via YouTube Studio 1. Go to YouTube Studio (via YouTube website, click your profile, then YouTube Studio). 2. In left menu → click Content. That shows your videos. 3. Click on the video’s title (or thumbnail) for the one where comments are disabled. 4. Scroll down (or look for “Show more”) to “Audience” section. Make sure it’s set to “No, it’s not made for kids”. That should allow comments. 5. Below that / further down, find “Comments and Ratings” (or similar). There should be a dropdown for “Comment visibility” — options like “Allow all comments,” “Hold for review,” “Hold potentially inappropriate comments,” “Disable comments.” Set it to “Allow all comments” or “hold potentially inappropriate comments” 6. Save. To check comments ON for all future videos (via a phone): 1. In YouTube Studio, click community. 2. click content controls 3. Check “comments on new uploads” says “on”

I was thinking it must have been a mistake. I can ask here what I was going to ask in a comment: Will you be speaking about the new format of the TLS?
