I LOVE THIS TOWER. I'll just get straight to the point, please play ToVS if you have the skill to. It is one of the best SC towers ever made and I can't emphasize that enough. I'll mostly just be talking about my own grinding experience, but there will be small sprinkles of my own enjoyment of ToVS throughout.

There's a reason I got to Floor 9 on Day 1, let's just really remember that. ToVS at its core is a punishing, but consistent tower, but moreso it's really 2nd half carried. This led to the very beginning of my grind being... quite annoying, since Floors 1-3 are really not fun to loopfail, but I got consistent at them quickly. By this point, ToVS is just a plain fun grind. While it would become a chokepoint floor later due to a CERTAIN SPINNER, Floor 4 is easy to get good at, and while Floor 5 seemed really hard at first, my passrate on the floor wound up being probably over 85%. This takes us to the depths... I do not like the depths. This is a common complaint with ToVS, and I'll parrot it too now, the depths is just a complete time waster that butchers the pace of the tower. Expect to be REALLY annoyed at the depths, particularly later into the grind when you're consistently reaching the last few floors. Moving onto the last "easy" floors, I don't actually have much to say about Floors 6-7. Floor 6 is a bit weird since it's entirely carried by 1 jump and nothing else, while Floor 7 is literally just a filler floor that I barely failed after my first Floor 8 run. Neither of these floors should give you much trouble, but if you DO fail these floors, or Floor 8, you can actually save on Floor 1, and if you first try Floors 4-5 again, you skip depths which is awesome. This brings us to Floor 8, the first "hard" floor of ToVS, and yeah IT IS A NOTICEABLE DIFFICULTY SPIKE. I surprisingly still managed to get past Floor 8 on my first day of grinding, but it's a floor that never really got 100% consistent for me, and likely won't for you either. All I can say for these later floors is practice, practice, PRACTICE. Don't go in with the expectation that you could save any of your fails. You need solid consistency all throughout ToVS, but making sure you're consistent at the last few floors is especially important... speaking of which...

I'm starting a new paragraph just for Floor 9. This is the hardest floor by a lot. I really am serious about it being a Bottom Horrific floor, since it's not only the most punishing floor of the entire tower, but also has some genuinely hard jumps given the aforementioned punishment. It is really not fit for a High Catastrophic, and I can't tell you enough to be ready to fuck up this floor a lot. From my experience, I had 5 fails on Floor 9 before ever making it to Floor 10. Speaking of which, Floor 10... is... really overrated? I see so many people make a big fuss over Floor 10, as well as the Final Stretch being extremely hard, but I don't see it at all honestly. Are they some of the hardest floors? Yup no question. Are they comparable to Floor 9? NO??? Floor 10 is extremely consistent, many fails on it can save on Floor 9 (I actually had no fatal Floor 10 fails), and the raw difficulty isn't even close to Floor 9's. While I don't want to give false hope on this floor, know that I fluked Floor 10 on my first time there. Now... the Final Stretch. This is a weird one. It's fairly long, and has some offputting difficulty spikes, but it's also ironically enough the SAFEST part of ToVS. It really isn't uncommon to save on the Final Stretch, and please keep this in mind so you know which jumps you can easily save on... and which jumps you can't. I should've done this. I had 2 fails on the Final Stretch to the SAME JUMP, a jump that was a guaranteed run ender. What sucks more is that both times, I easily could've beaten the whole tower straight from there, but well, I mean, as you can see right now, that did happen afterwards. Just please, do NOT get cocky with the Final Stretch. It's relatively safe, but a single slightly above minor fuckup will kill you.

Oh yeah lastly there's a double jump bug in ToVS where sometimes you buffer the double jump when they aren't meant to be buffered so please please pleaseeeeee be careful of that.

So... that's it! Just like that, ToTM has gone from my hardest completion to my 3rd hardest in literally under 1 week. I honestly can't believe I beat ToVS this quickly, and though the grind made me realise it was... maybe a bit easier than I expected, it's still harder than ToTM no doubt. Like I said before, this is a really fun tower to grind, and I'd even say a good new hardest if you're at Low or Low-Mid Catastrophic skill. From here, I'm not entirely sure what to do next. I want to grind Tower of Heaven's Gate, not as a sure fire way of knocking ToTM out of my Top 3, but still a guaranteed Top 5, but after that, I will definitely take a backseat on all of these hard grinds since I'm practically completely revamping my entire Top 5 now in the timespan of under a month. We'll see where things go from here I guess, GG!
