The sun touches every blade of grass, illuminating the droplets of water and the changing of the weather and seasons. A golf course sits before me - so green and vast. Filled with hills and dips. It is perhaps the ups and downs that make the course worth playing. Surely, a straight and flat course wouldn’t be as fun, and it certainly wouldn’t hold the same beauty. Captivating and peaceful.
Life leaves a rake in the sand. A way of saying, “you weren’t the first and you won’t be the last.” And also perhaps some sort of an ask. To clean up after ourselves, so our messes don’t fall onto someone else. Footprints could change the entire way a ball lands. The sandpits are part of the course. Put there on purpose. They add an element to the game.
I sit here, today, grateful for this moment. Nothing moves but the back-and-forth flow of ink from my pen. This moment is entirely mine. Golf reminds me of the archer of Sagittarius. The archer does not decide where the arrow will go. If it will hit its target or miss it entirely. The archer can only control their piece. So much can happen in between.

The window I look out of today is so beautiful.

That is the way of life. We can only aim.
