It can be really challenging posting something that you enjoy doing, because it can easily start feeling like an obligation. I've followed your channel for a few years now, and have watched some walk-throughs through many stages of my life. They've been a great companion when studying, as background noise, or just for fun! Your videos help being joy to people, and I hope they continue to being joy to you. I wish you all the best with your health and happiness 🥰

I listen to your Nancy Drew walkthroughs while working, off and on, for years. The first few games have the best musical scores and dialogue. You are appreciated! Take the time you need. ☺️🙏

It’s always a huge struggle when you lose your passion for something you previously enjoyed. Taking time off when necessary is just what is recommended to rekindle that joy you feel when doing something you love. So glad to hear that you’ll be focusing on yourself while doing uploads for fun! Stay strong!

Hey all, it's me again. A few months have passed since I posted that announcement about planning to slowly stop recording and uploading videos. It was so touching to receive so many supportive messages and they inspired me to record quite a few walkthroughs that I will upload in the upcoming months. I had more time to think about why I wanted to quit in the first place and remember why I initially started uploading these videos. I am generally a type of person who likes to either do something well or not do it at all and, for a variety of reasons, I felt like I could no longer put the needed time and effort into the channel. In a large part thanks to these wonderful messages, I realized that instead of just quitting, I needed to change my mindset and stop putting pressure on myself. So, my plan for this year is to just try to have more fun and only record when I feel inspired to do so and take a break when I start feeling burnt out.
Another reason why I felt like quitting was because I was (and still am) going through some personal struggles that made everything less enjoyable. The last couple of years have been difficult for many of us for one reason or another. In 2020 I started suffering from health anxiety, utterly convinced that I was dying from many different terminal diseases. While I managed to keep working (that would sometimes even help me and keep me preoccupied), I stopped doing many things that I had previously loved, most notably going to the gym and playing video games for fun. While I am still dealing with these thoughts occasionally and have some bad days, I'm trying to turn things around. So in the last couple of months I've prioritized playing games with my friends over playing games that I plan to record. I still waste a lot of my time and energy worrying about my health, but things are slowly getting better. I hope to keep getting better and go back to what I used to enjoy doing.
Thanks again for your support and if you too are going trough something, stay strong and keep fighting!
