I completely know what you mean. Eventually you just kind of hit critical mass.

Yeah, I already have so so so many games so the only things I got are some things that I already don't have in abundance. I coulda got more shmups but I have too many to play, I have too many racing games platforming games beat em ups you name it. There's some genuinely good deals here but I don't even feel the need to get the stuff under a dollar, I just don't got the room in my brainspace for it.

Are you still doing your shmup review videos? That's how I found your channel :D

Agreed but not necessarily for the same reasons... As someone who browses the isthereanydeal website waaay too much, the deals tend to be slightly better in the Big Two sales (summer & winter), but it's true that it's not quite as the insane discounts from back in the day. I also think LOTS of games, at least in the AA or AAA sphere, tend to stop having good discounts several years after release - which sounds insane - but I do think publisher greed is a huge factor. Anyways, my biggest beef with steam sales is the removal of options to get sale cards for free. Those fuckers really want you spending money for them. Yikes!

To answer why I stopped doing those Steam sale vids, the deals just aren't as good anymore. I don't get excited for sales the way I used to. Plus I've already bought most of the really good/cheap stuff. I'll probably only buy a couple games this year.
