My brain is finally suffering from fatigue! Did you like that I forgot to name a video yesterday? I was mortified...
Week 2 of summer band has ended and we can now begin our competition show! Our shop is entitled "On Air" featuring music from Queen, The Buggles, Etta James, and classical composer Tchaikovsky. The idea is for it to sound like the radio in your car that most used to listen to music on long drives! Neat, huh? I am excited, but we've only just begun. The countdown to October begins!
Here's the line-up:
BAND-MAID Sunday:
- I had a great time last week with "Take Me Higher" especially with the Misa/Kanami battle! This week we move on to track 8 of the "Just Bring It" album. "So, What?" was composed and arranged by Goto (oooo! familiar name!) and lyrics are by Miwa Sasaki.

- All I'm going to say here is...thank you for this suggestion, but HOW DARE YOU! You know I am just going to cry!!!
Show-Ya - Fairy
- I reacted to Show-Ya a long time ago and honestly, it's been too long. I LOVED how performative the musicians were in the video as well as the SHEER BEAUTY of all of the ladies. I didn't realize they still perform regularly! I am excited to dive into the different versions of "Fairy!"
BAND-MAID - Kannai Devil interview 2017!
- Vladimir Chupin again has been opening doors for this curious flutist. With a little bit of research I was able to find English translations of the interviews so we will be checking these out for the next few weeks!

I am typing this on Friday night but it's probably being posted really late today. I am sorry! This time of year is hectic with making my new lesson schedule as well as helping my students find their first step up flute for high school. There have been a lot of weekend appointments for my kiddos to find their "forever" flute and I cannot tell you how excited I am for them! Cheers to a new school year! Wish me luck!!!
