What is the actual amount of Chinese influence that exists at the canal? I imagine it’s there, but to what extent and how much does that threaten the US?

Not really your thing but honestly, just how it was constructed—how humans carved through miles of unbearable jungle and connected two oceans.

Hi Johnny! If you are still in Panama let me know, I am a tour guide in Panama, 5th generation descendant from the Zonians who came to build the canal and I am expert on Panamanian history, particularly regarding the atlantic side of Panama. I see you visited the Pacific side WWI batteries, and I'm sure there is a lot to see on this side of the country if you have time.

Talk about the workers on the canal wanting to come back to America, and the intricacies,

Drought impacts on ability to move fast enough through the locks. Also how the port authority manages traffic and why this was such a political hot point with Trump

How did the topography change when the canal was built? How was the marine life impacted? Who influenced Jimmy Carter to give canal back to Panama?

Who owns it? And who doesn’t? What are the terms of any treaties related to it?

Title IV-D Probably not related to Panama, but I would love a deep dive into this program and how it impacts children, parents, states and whether it's actually beneficial or if it's a scam that is destroying our society. AI prompts reveal that there is little empirical data available and as such needs a good investigative journalist to dig in and find out what's happening.

1- life of the ordinary people around. 2 - how the hell it works! Explain it like a dislecsic. 3 - why the hell did they not just dig through!? 4 - Big scandal during building it. 5 - who owns the horse!? 6 - How many ships do fit in parallel?

The cost of going through the canal. Do shipping container ships pay a toll? What is it compared to other canals. Is that for upkeep or is it simply a revenue source for Panama, or is it contracted out and ran by a company? Who sets it? At what point would it be more cost effective to go around south America or land in LA/west coast and train things across by land? Is it militarized? By who? I want to know more about the Nicaragua canal proposal as well. Technology behind the canal, what's new, what's better than before? What's worse? Are there ships that can't fit? What's the upkeep like, is it well maintained? Is Panama a trustworthy government to maintain it? Has there been corruption around it (feels like any time there's money to be made, there's corruption). How much of an identity is the canal to the Panameños? It's really all I know about Panama. Lastly, the most famous palindrome. "A man, a plan, a canal, Panama"

If you can, go to the area around the Avenida de los martires. Towards the 5 de mayo plaza. That’s where the events of January 9th took place. If you go, do be careful. It’s not a particularly safe part of the city for someone who’s not from there. And please visit the city center and downtown areas. It’s important for people to know that Panama is not just a canal or a resource. It’s a place with its own culture and life.

I’d be curious to know what sociopolitical implications are in play when it comes to the efficiency of the canal as a means of transport of goods! Are there any favorite trading partners and why? How many delays are experienced and for what reason? How much busier has this canal become since the early 2000’s by scale? Many of these other questions are also interesting! Enjoy!

The history of how the US funded the building of this Canal. What influence is current in the area. How much does it cost for vessels to use it. Excited!

We need to know how locals and politicians feel about foreign influences. The difference may show if anyone is paid off.

There is a big 2 World War bunker system on flamenco island on the Panama City side of the canal. Might be worth checking it out, it's open but unknown
