Man In A Motel

Lets settle this, does all bread taste the same?

You're telling me, naan bread, baguettes, pretzels, brioche, sourdough, pumpernickel, etc. all tastes the same? Bull. Shit. This is Garnt's worst food take to date. XD

@locirnos

This gotta be the worst take on trash taste, that even I, a casual who didn't mind the bois' weird tastes went numb the second I heard it.

When Grant said that pretzels taste like a salted baguette I about fell over. Honey, noooo 🥺

As a German I kinda feel offended by certain peeps saying all bread tastes the same. If you ever wanna taste real bread, come to a german Bäckerei, they have a whole wall of fresh baked bread

@Blackfog14

You ever hear of Brioche? You wanna compare that to a baguette? They are almost different foods. Both bread.

Only people who say all bread taste the same, are those who actually only eat one type of bread.

I've eaten white bread and I've eaten brown bread. They're not the same

Garnt clearly hasn't eaten bread straight out of the oven. I could happily munch a whole loaf. On it's own. With no butter or condiments.

As a Turkish person living in Germany I died a little when I heard that

As a south east asian I agree with Grant but mostly because our bread sucks.

Most bread taste different because of different ingredients and it's qualities and sometimes it's because of other methods of baking even without flavoring the bread so sometimes even a plain bread can taste good or decent

No shit it isn't, you'd have to be out of your goddamn mind to say that rye bread and wheat bread taste the same, let alone different textures of dough itself.

Triggering Connor for the nth time while Garnt sips his wine.

There's some bread that can and will ruin a sandwich, while others will elevate it

I used to think all bread taste the same, but that was because my parents, like most Asians of their generation, only like soft white bread and only bought different variations of soft white bread. It might be a different shape or different color or different topping, but it's still the same basic recipe.

In SEA I can see why Garnt would say that. Stuff in the grocery store are pretty samey, not gonna lie(but if you say wheat bread and white bread taste the same, I'm gonna throw hands). Even bakeshoppes sell the samey bread on sometimes. If you want good bread you go to breadshoppes. Those stores have bread that tastes wildly different. Some are super soft and sweet, others are tougher and more savory and all sorts of stuff in between. Personally I don't know what it's called, but it's a savory bread covered with cheese on top. Very nice, shaped like a kite? I think. I haven't been there since Covid hit D: My mom got a microwave oven though, so I might look into making my own bread, if possible.

If you think naan bread tastes like subway bread just know you're wrong.
