I see the possibility, but what a squandered opportunity to bring Marvel's most prolific villain to life with a new and exciting actor.

I’d be more on board if he was playing a villain version of Tony stark that was not Dr doom

It was cool for 5 seconds but then it seemed desperate move. They announced another new villain that won't have a good buildup which was kangs problem and it won't even be the main MCU Doom. He will probably be the doom from the new fantastic four universe who is mad after Galactus killed his earth

I’m not mad at the casting, there definitely could have been a worse option. I guess I’m mostly left asking but why tho?

Seems desperate but the Russo Brothers have the track record to make a good movie and that’s what counts. I would have preferred Henry Cavill as Dr Doom

There are so many actors out there, and yet they cast RDJ as Doctor Doom?

I kinda feel like it's a hail Mary of some kind. Bringing RDJ back feels cheap (even though it's expensive)

I hope you guys do an episode on it, especially considering Sal and Hassan seem to be on opposite ends of the spectrum. Glad you guys are potentially coming back in some form. This show was a big part of my daily life. I always looked forward to it on my drive home from work.

I’m worried doom is now just a one off character that we will never see again after the end of this movie. He should be like thanos, behind the scenes and constantly reoccurring until it’s time for his big move

It’s just kinda of like but why though. I think the perfect take on this though is the thanos quote funny enough being look at where your failures brought you right back to me 😂

I look at it the way I look at American Horror Story, the characters die but the actors always stick around.

We're at a place where Disney has failed so much, we expect little from them. Disney: just okay

Makes me think of the comic when Iron Man and Dr Doom swapped bodies :D

I’m intrigued with having Doctor Doom as the villain. as the perspective of getting the iconic villain like Doctor Doom at the end of the Multiverse Saga. (Taking out Jonathan Major's portion) Kang the Conqueror hasn't really consistently been in the Multiverse Saga. (Taking out Robert Downey Jr. portion) there hasn't been any reference or acknowledgment of Doctor Doom or even Latveria. I'm just curious on how they will use Doctor Doom. While Thanos wasn't in the Infinity Saga, we still got introduced to the Infinity Stones throughout the films leading to Infinity War/Endgame, we knew “someone" is coming for earth in the first Avengers film. I want Doctor Doom to have a strong presence, and strong motivation while meeting him at the end of the Multiverse Saga. (Taking out Disney+ Shows) there are just currently 3 films before Doomsday and Secret Wars.

If he is play Victor Von Doom and NOT a Tony Stark variant, I love the idea

He’ll do an amazing job. I personally just have an issue with the first versions of major villains in the mcu being variants. I hate that Holland’s Green Goblin is from a different universe.

I want to see conversation between doom and namor that played out in avengers/new avengers in live action

i personally would’ve preferred them going the traditional route for Doom, but this isn’t bad. there’s definitely narrative potential here for something special
