Should non-citizens get SNAP or any other assistance and or benefits?

@josephkirby1621

If they didn't enter through the gate, no. No benefits for boarder jumpers.

@deadmanvoting

I wish we COULD vote on this. We should have a vote on what our taxes pay for. Americans pay for the food stamps so they should be the only ones eligible to get them.

@CarolinaMadMan

Let the same people who said yes be the ones to pay for them

Canada (and other countries) verify that you have enough money to pay all your bills and expenses for 1 year before you can enter their country long term. Why isn't that criteria for entering the USA?

@bigsalupnorth

They have the benefit of going back home

WHY SHOULD THEY GET ONE DIME. When our Veterans are dying and homeless??? THEY ARE PATRIOTS FOR OUR COUNTRY OUR RIGHTS AS AMERICAN CITIZENS. No illegal earned , or worse. Non of them have contributed anything to this Nation, other than create division and chaos.

@chuck_howard

Only if you entered legally and stayed legally and worked and paid into the system like the rest of us. All the others, NO!

@JoDee-x7c

No one should be a government moocher! Get rid of SNAP and EBT and let us responsible people keep our own money ❤

@mike.s.3574

Within reason. I wouldn't wanna be representative of a country that let's people starve regardless of the rationale.

People will be far more charitable if they are not being fleeced.

Seems like the common sense answer is no. But many are lacking in common sense. Blessings brother..

How could anyone answer yes to this question???

@happity

ONLY if they are here legally on some kind of visa or similar .. & if otherwise , they shouldn't even be protected from deportation !

My husband is from Australia. Has lived in the US as a permanent resident with a green card for almost 6 years but is not a citizen yet, but pays his taxes to the IRS just like a citizen has to. We’re lucky to have always had steady work and never needed to use those kinds of benefits. What if we did, though? If you think he should be able to, ask yourself why that is.

I wonder what else is in the bill they don't want us to focus on. They are applying pressure to the working class and the poor for some other reason. We all know neither side give a damn about the budget or Snap or illegals.

@Bianca_M_2.0

This concept is absolutely absurd! They need to go back home! And for sure don't need to be taking from us! This absolutely infuriates me to no end

American Citizens only! We can't have the whole world coming to our soil and getting on American taxpayer-funded assistance!

@tiredtreasurestore

If they are working and contributing taxes, why not
