Another case of old people (as in 70+) making bad decisions that they know they won't live long enough to face the consequences. Because doing the right things would mildly inconvenience them. No way to remove them from power.

It was less before. so it's like a stock market will go up and down like a wave. World population should come down to less than 3 billion. And this GDP based economic system should change.
