The Nick of Time

New video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xf-H4...

Here is a comparison of my old, pre-YouTube-channel Freddy Fazbear models from when I was first learning Blender, up to my current one that I showcase in the video. The time gap between the first two is very small, only a year at most I think.

I remember how I was partway through working on the middle Freddy when the first set of behind the scenes FNaF screenshots was released, for the second anniversary, back in 2016. The orthographic pictures of those original models changed the course of Fan-made models, because at that point the FNaF games were still 2D and there were no models to extract from the game files. Up until then, people had to make theirs completely by eye, so those screenshots were a real game changer in the pursuit of accuracy.

Ironically enough, now that flawlessly accurate FNaF models are perfectly obtainable, I choose to deliberately deviate from accuracy to add in my own touches, which is something that I explain in-depth in the linked video.
