A few days ago, we reached 100k subscribers! Thank you to every single one of you. Unfortunately, this also comes with some bad news:

YouTube has now decided to demonetize this channel after 3 years of running the doom radio stream. Apparently, it is not allowed to monetize the content, even with the permission of the artists whose music is being livestreamed. (bullshit. what about the past 3 years? what about the lofi music stream and other similar content? anyway...)

The small income that I was getting with the ads always went directly into paying for the server costs where the radio is hosted. For now, I will keep paying for the server costs from my own pocket, and I will keep doing so for as long as I can, but this might not be possible in the long term. So if I have to shut down the radio in the future, I'm sorry - we can all thank this amazing website for that!

Anyway, I won't be appealing either because from my experience, it is completely useless - I've done so in the past when the stream got auto banned by their Content-Id system several times, and they never were able to solve the issue or tell me what was wrong with it. I always had to figure out what was wrong myself to get it back up and running. So I won't be wasting my time with them again. Fuck you, YouTube.

That's awful, man. This stream was a huge help to me getting through school this year. Thank you so much for that! I think you should fight, as you have the receipts from the creators, but I can definitely understand your decision not to. We have your back!

Seems def par for yt's course. This is gonna sound prob stupid but, twitch "may" be an option. I have a handful of radio streams(little ones) I keep around. I guess there was a way around the stream time limit maybe. I'm sure you've considered it.
