Please comment why you voted the way you did. Personally I believe we will experience short term pain but long term gain when it comes to the US economy. đ

I think ultimately in comes down to tariffs increase costs on everyday goods and consumers âscoffingâ at costs - thus choosing not to make the purchase. Prices going beyond the perception of value leads to a reduction in spending on a large scale. Reduction of consumer spending slows down the economy which naturally will have short term economic pain- but itâs an injury that has chronic consequences. Itâs like having a knee replaced, sure youâll be back on your feet soon, but you ainât playing baseball anymore đ. Either way, weâll figure it out

As some one who sales both freight brokerage and international ocean and air for Maersk, some impact will be felt but more so on the eastern to western ocean container shipments vs domestic truck brokerage

Do you believe NEW tariffs on foreign imports will have a positive or negative LONGTERM impact on the US economy?
