I love the story of the Edmund Fitzgerald! And the song is a classic masterpiece

Unfortunately I don’t live close but as a native Michigander I’m stoked that you’re doing a video on it.

The Soo is a bit of a drive for me but I am a Yooper, this episode is about to hit so hard. My Dad remembers what the Lake looked like the day the Fitz went down.

Which side would you like views from? I’m a local Sault native on the US side and have an IPhone 11 but my partner has a Samsung galaxy 23. Not what you asked but we’re here and willing to help anyway we can!

Will be looking forward to that video. Hopefully you did some digging on what may have caused it and what entities may have been at fault instead of just another homogenized version that's already been repeated over and over with the Gordon Lightfoot song playing in the backround. Love that song but it's been used to death.

We went there in about 1990 during the week of my aunts wedding. We did the boat tour, I wonder if my grandmother took any pics back then, and if so, I would probably be the 1 to have them. I should look through her old stuff this weekend.

Can't wait! I'm going to Split Rock Lighthouse in Silver Bay, MN on the 10th for an event they are holding to honor the crew. The beacon is being lit!

I've got a... $2.69 pair of binoculars and a pair of 3D glasses from 1996... That probably doesn't help.

I'm about 2 hours south of there, but I lived on Superior for a number of years.

The Lore Lodge
If any of you live near Sault St. Marie and have either a quality DSLR or film camera, or an iPhone 15 pro (or later), we could use some footage of the Soo Locks.
Happy to give both onscreen and verbal credit as well as a licensing fee! If you’re interested, shoot an email over to thornbury@redactedmediapa.com.
Edit: this is for a video about the Edmund Fitzgerald, not any MMIW or Missing 411 stuff, just to be clear.
