I think you’re supposed to put that on a record player to unlock the secret CD quality playback mode

They’re called hard drives not soft drives. If it can’t handle this then it wasn’t strong enough

If for any reason you hear some kind of screeching noise just apply some WD-40 while the disk is spinning, to improve readability

They work the same way as Nintendo cartridges - just blow on the plate and rub it on your shirt... Works every time.

The discs make excellent splash cymbals/hi hat! You can build a sweet mini drum set out of computer parts!

Believe it or not I ran a 5 MB Seagate topless in the bodged together XT class machine I was using in my first real technician job in the late 80s , and never had a problem lol

The drive heads look like they could use a little chalk, to give them the readable grip they need. Throw some in.

Back in the early 90s, hard drives occasionally suffered from "stiction", where they would get stuck if powered off. I watched a technician crack open a Sun workstation hard drive and give the platter a spin, and then put the cover back on, so it would actually spin up. So, I have actually witnessed someone push-start a hard drive. So... put me on the side of "you'll be fine." 😆

If you just apply some vintage to the actuator, you'll have some cool speakers 😎

Experts say that keeping your hard drive from fresh air could reduce its life span. So nah it's good.

I'm pretty sure you need to solve your parking issues by having the drive towed and impounded.
