Thank you for speaking up abt this. Everyone seems to belittle the show for its animation, which i get it isnt like JJK or anything crazy like that, but it still has merit. My roommate and I feel its like an omage to those superhero media of yesterday, like Young Justice or the DC movies. People just wanna complain. Thanks you to all of those who showed support and love to the collab animation! I really appreciate it and so does the team! To answer some very frequently asked questions: Yes, it is obviously unfinished and no I will not be revisiting the project. I started the project out of love for the series. As I kept posting snippets, I noticed it was only ever used as a comparison tool to hate on the official show in order to praise ours or vice versa. It didn’t serve its purpose as a love letter in my eyes and I should’ve known since it’s the internet. This demotivated me and frankly, I grew burnt out and it’s partly my fault for making this a bigger project than I could handle. The main reason for the burnout was just because I was very on and off with the project as I juggled classes and my part time job. We were working on it all the way up until the day before the episode dropped so I sewed up what I could to release it. I did not want to work on it any longer nor saw the point in dropping it after the episode so I thought it’d be best to drop something than nothing since I had dropped teasers already. I had grew tired of the project and wanted to work on other things without it looming over my head. I saw no point in slaving all of my free time for a fun little fan animation which grew out of proportion in scope with unrealistic expectations when I really just wanted to focus on other things. It ended up becoming a fun little collab style video and I’m fine with that. Despite all of that, I am very grateful to have worked with so many talented people who I hope to work with in the future!
With that being said, I want to move on to other projects and will probably stop doing fan animations to focus on my own work for a little bit and picking up commissions. Again, I appreciate all the support!
