Thank you so much for this rainbow! I often go rainbow hunting when I think the conditions are right! I really hope your twice warmed steak still tasted good. That was quite a sacrifice. But, thank you so much! ~Lorna

I was fully inside my shop cutting someone’s hair when I saw the light change outside.. I’m on Haight so the windows are north/south facing. Had a hunch something cool was going on.. went outside to see the gorgeous golden sunset.. walked back in & thought “I should check if there’s a rainbow”.. sure enough! Totally made my client get up (cape and all) to come out and look at the rainbow!! 😂🤣🌈🌅 It was SOO BRIGHT! Then it was gone

Chamberlin Nature
Rainbow and Sunset 10/13/25. This evening we were treated with a rainbow from the setting sun and some beautiful storm clouds with the sunset. I might have missed these shots were it not for my friend Tony. I was just about to start eating dinner when I got a message from him. He said he was looking at my livecams and was surprised to see the sun was out. He said it looked like there still might be some rain so if I looked toward the hills I might see a rainbow. My answer to him:
"Possibly. But even though the sun is out, it’s still raining here. And I don’t really have a place where I can get a protected view toward the hills. But more importantly I just finished reheating my steak and pouring a glass of wine."
And then, about 20 minutes later I messaged him:
"Well, I suspect you already knew this was going to happen, but despite what I said, I grabbed the camera and went out."
