The question was believe in God. The God of the bible. I used to think I had a god or higher power. Turns out I was just praying to myself and justifying my life by saying my god loves me no matter what. Until I read Paul's epistle to the Romans. Then I understood exactly what my god was. A weak and feeble imagery I had cooked up in my depraived mind. The God of the bible YAHWEH revealed Himself to me, through His Son The Lord Jesus Christ and my life hasn't been the same since. Now i know who i have sinned against and who I was serving. I no longer serve myself. There is only one God. There is only one way to Him through His Son. There is only one sacrifice for transgression. No amount of good works will earn salvation. Christ payed the price for my sins. He is The way , the truth and the life. Praise Him. Sing hosanna to the King of Kings. The Prince of peace.

I believe in Jesus Jesus gives you everlasting peace, love joy, Love over powers fear We don't have to fear, Faith is Soo important in this time of depression. š

Well yes. James 2:19 KJV ā Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. At least the devil's have enough sense to tremble. How about this do you believe in Hell? And I know Romans 10 tells us believe and confess but that's not all of it. Jesus said REPENT and believe the gospel. That means ask for forgiveness and turn away from the sin that separates us from God. (Btw that's all sin). Our good works do not get us to heaven it's God's grace alone. All of are believing and repenting means nothing if it weren't for His grace. The Bible tells us there is none good no not one. And that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. All the good deeds in the world won't get you to heaven. We must have the blood of Jesus Christ!

Sort of. My God isn't your God. But then your God could be my God. Doesn't really matter to me, except do you live as a good person. Treat others as you want to be treated. Protect the weak. Are you honest, moral, and responsible for your actions. Do you do the right thing, even though it is more difficult. To me that's the importance of having a God, or God's if you prefer.
