I wish I had a shop. My shop is my front yard, back yard, kitchen. And I use what is available as a work bench

For me: pegboard, metal toolboxes, Austin shelves, custom drawers, wall hooks, French cleats - whatever makes the most sense for what needs to be stored. I’m not a one size fits all type.

Usually the floor, or work bench, or wherever I happen to set something down and quickly forget where I sat it down at. However, my ideal setup would be French cleats everywhere.

I’ve got pegboard for my automotive tools, but my woodworking tools are mostly on a beadboard tool wall and drill cubby.

All of the above. Start with pegboard for easy access and prefab storage for hardware, add french cleats for custom wall storage, then build storage underneath custom bench(es) because that's how you make stuff fit!

Toolboxes/cabinet I hung all my tools on pegboard for years because I liked having everything out and easy to grab. But everything kept getting covered in dust

I have wall control and Yukon (harbor freight) tool chests with the wood top. Taller cabinets I bought from Sam’s club that get assembled. Put as much as you can on wheels.

Shop-built cabinet frames using Festool sliding drawers and systainers. Expensive but very functional.

I don’t have any French cleats but a combo of the other in my shed and hobby office.

I am aiming for almost all French cleats, but I have a workbench with a section of built-in pegboard, so you use what you've got at hand, eh?

Crafted Workshop
Hopefully you've all seen the last video on getting the storage in the finishing/metalworking room dialed in (watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BwFg... ) but I wanted to know what kind of storage you use most in your shops. I've got my personal favorites but what are some of yours?
