Susie Ibarra and I are thrilled to release “Heart and Breath: Rhythm and Tone Fields” into the world. We created this album remotely, during lockdown, never having played together before, or even met in person. (We are now dear friends!) All of the music uses our heartbeats and breathing rates as the rhythmic guides, and the process of making music this way brought us into deep, unique musical territory that we explored together until this album emerged as a gentle, unified whole.
