In 2018, I switched to an IPhone. Unsure of my operating ability, I decided to just watch this magnificent rescue I came across in Canada. One day, I accidentally fell into Chat, and Kel helped me feel relaxed and welcome. That bond will never be broken, even by Death. There are not enough positive words to describe Kel. She was an Earth Angel who possessed unlimited Love, Kindness and Understanding for People and Animals, especially Cats. When she could no longer care for precious kitties at home, this smart lady ‘switched the pitch’ and Loved and Cared for Kitties remotely. And for us. My condolences and prayers are with Kel’s Family, Friends and all of TinyKittens. Thank you, Kel, for all the Love.

Kel was a wonderful person. She was often on early in the morning (my time) and we talked about our experiences with chronic pain and how we can't care for cats ourselves anymore. She was a wonderful, funny, witty lady with a love of both cats and people. My deepest condolences to her family, friends, and the entire mod team.

I can only imagine how many furry friends greeted Kel at the rainbow bridge. A kind, warm soul to all of us and her passing reminds me that the TK community is truly a family. 🌈

We are devastated by the loss one of our own this weekend. Kel was one of our beloved mods, and we are so blessed and grateful to have had her for as long as we did.

Kerry "kelgarumo" Labay unexpectedly passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 14th. She loved tacos and snark, her real family, and her mod family. She was a wonderful mentor to all of our mods. She was generous to a fault and cared about everyone.
She worked for NASA and missed not being able to continue due to unimaginable chronic pain. She could no longer care for cats on her own, so she poured her love for them into every single cat and kitten at TinyKittens. She dedicated her last six years to volunteering for TinyKittens, making chatters feel safe and welcome, providing information, and spreading the word about cat overpopulation and our rescue efforts, with a smile and ever present (more than 4 if we let her) emojis.
She will be missed by all of us very much, and is opening and closing her umbrella all the time now.
P.S. Cornfields (in the photo) was one of her TK faves. ❤️
