As one of my favorite speedrunners and content creators to watch, ive loved everything you do for close to 8 years now. You're a genuine great voice in the community and have done so much for speedrunning as a whole, hope to always have you!

YouTube just recommended me your 2019 GDQ Jak 3 speedrun. What a treat! It definitely showed the camaraderie within that community. Everyone was just chillin and having a good time.

I've already watched all the era videos but if they're in one giant supercut? You bet your sweet bippy I'm watching it all again. My guess, is a 5:30ish give or take hour video. Which I will happily binge

This has been such an awesome ride. I never played Jak 3 as a kid but I've been locked into this series. You clearly know so much and have so much to share about it, it's really cool and fascinating. Excited to see what's next after you end this incredible documentary. Much love 💚

i am of those who are not fans of having so many videos about only one game (i actually don't like the jak and daxter series much), but i'm also really happy to see one of my fav creators accomplishing something so big and seeming so complete and proud ! great job Ricky !

Your inside knowledge of Jak speedrunning, combined with your frankly incredibly storytelling has cemented this series as a must-watch for speedrunning lore videos. I myself love Jak 3 the most of the series, so seeing a new chapter of this game being snapped in half for speed every few months has been amazing. But honestly my favorite part has been something that your position in the scene has given us - a look at the people behind the records and tech, the camaraderie and friendships made through these rivalries and competition. I'm pretty excited for this last part

There's no need to apologize for providing us with some of the best work you've sown us so far. Looking forward to ERA 9 (:

Magnum Opus suggests you'll never make something better, I feel for you Ricky, this is sorely underestimating your creative skills ❤️

Hey Ricky you got me into PlayStation speed running and I've been eagerly awaiting part 9. As someone who's also been creating something for a long time I totally respect you for wanting to finish that magnum opus. Keep being you and keep kicking ass

You've definitely got all the time, passion, and commitment in you to do even greater works. Can't wait to see what you present to the world next. This has been a phenomenal experience to witness for one of my favorite game series, and it's what got me into starting up speedrunning as well. Best of luck in everything you do bro

I will forever watch anything you drop my bro. Jak and Daxter is my main ps2 game so you'll always have a superfan in me.

I was never that into speed running but after watching your ratchet and clank video I think we all know the one I have a bigger appreciation for speed running.

I have loved watching the ERA series, and I greatly loom forward not only to seeing the finale, but rewashing it all via the supercut. And seeing what you put out next. One of my favorite videos on this channel besides the ERA series is the Jak X Seaport strip video, so more Jak X videos would be cool!

What's up folks, sorry once again for the relative silence. Took a break throughout most of December/January due to the winter season getting to me, but I am proud to announce that I've begun work on ERA 9 and it is quite close to completion :). It's estimated to be about as long as ERA 8, so well over an hour. You can expect to be able to watch it in full around early/mid April. A 12 minute snippet is available on patreon.com/tharixer
Once ERA 9 is completed I will create one more video that I'm calling the "Supercut" where I will be stitching all 9 ERA's together into one seamless video with some small corrections, editing fixes and a new intro. After that I will begin working on brand new videos.
I've been asked whether or not I'm going to continue with a possible ERA X and beyond and my answer to that is no. When I started making this series, I knew I wanted to start from the beginning and I had a clear ending in mind too, regardless of new records being set. As much as I love the Jak & Daxter games, I also want to work on new projects too. This has been my life's magnum opus and It's gonna feel incredible that I'm finally gonna finish it after working on it for about 2.5 years.
I understand that some of you guys might be upset that I chose to spend so much time talking about one game, and I hear you. It's super selfish lol.. But Jak 3 is my main game. There's no other game I could cover on this channel that would be a more authentic and accurate telling of the events that followed. I care about speedrunning but to me its so much more. The comradery, the failure, the triumph. It makes it so much more interesting to me. And I've been able to express those emotions more than ever, through these 9 videos. And this final part in the series is the very best one I've made.
Thanks everyone for sticking with me and being patient. I never forget you guys exist.
Much love,
Ricky
