It's a disturbing sign that people can no longer use logic and common sense. This verdict is a blatant reflection of that.

Agreed, when I watched the documentary all that came across to me is that she was a total narcissist! She literally made her own self look terrible!

As Norm MacDonald might say: Murder is now legal in Massachusetts.

Such a travesty occurred today. I hope karma makes its way back around.

There needs to be a new method of vetting jurors. This was such a disappointment.

Neither the Commonwealth's nor the defendants medical examiners would state that JOK's injuries were from a motor vehicle accident. This case never should have been charged.

I honestly think members of the jury may have been terrified of what would happen to them if they found her guilty of anything but a DUI

Agreed!!! KR was a jealous, attention seeking, controlling, manipulative, narcissist. The interviews she willingly gave, were admissions. One of the statements was (not word for word) when I left him, he didn't appear to be mortally wounded... Mob mentality with this case or I just can't comprehend how so many ppl jumped down the rabbit hole on this one. Even KRs demeanor in court was that of a cocci entitled teenager that actually laughed at witnesses while they were testifying. Just an awful person. All the lives this one horror show ruined.

I watched the whole trail and that prosecution and their experts were a joke. Such a shame. Sadly we will never know. The injuries didn’t match, it’s possible if you ignore a whole bunch of injuries.

What I watched of the trail they didn’t prove anything you said. I think she is innocent.

Gotta respect the process. The jury did what they had to do and you must accept the outcome

Nailed it. I’m so glad I never got into this one until the end. I never thought I’d see more crazy than Delphi when it comes to the ability to use logic. Oh well, I guess. The jury speaks and everyone has to accept it. But I totally get how someone could believe members of LE killed a man and then left him in their front yard, right next to the road for anyone driving by to see. That makes the most sense. Too bad not one of them realized how obvious that was. It’s like they’ve never been involved in a criminal investigation before. 😑

I agree with the jury 💯 Did you listen to Allen Jackson closing statement ? They did not prove she hit him. No Contact !

I think maybe you should watch the testimony of the commonwealths medical examiner. I’m assuming you probably have, but I think maybe you should watch it agajn. She didn’t really say his injuries were consistent with being stuck by a vehicle. She said that his injuries were not what she’d expect to see in a pedestrian/vehicle collision, not consistent with the injuries she’s seen incidents similar to the one alleged, and that his body didn’t have injuries that indicated a point of impact with the vehicle. She DID say his head injury was consistent with falling backward and hitting his head, though. My point is just that she wasn’t convinced that he was hit by a car, based on his injuries and everything she heard about the theory of the case from the state police. Don’t get me wrong, she didn’t co-sign the idea of a fight indoors either, but I still think that it’s important to hear her testimony objectively. I also disagree with a lot of what you said in other paragraphs before and after the one I addressed, but I’ll spare you the time it would take to read that entire book sized comment 😂 I personally don’t believe a conviction on a top charge for KR and the possible decades in prison would have truly been justice for John O’Keefe, either. It may have felt like justice for a while to the O’Keefe family, and that IS worth something…their peace is important to me and should be valued. However, it’s likely KR will soon owe the O’Keefe family an incredible amount of money, assuming she is found liable for the death of John O’Keefe when their civil lawsuit against her goes to court later this year. Money won’t bring John back, but hopefully it helps them feel some sense of Justice. …and hopefully someday John can still get Justice. I’m not holding my breath, but there’s hope at least

I didn't watch the trial so I can't really speak on the verdict because I didn't see the evidence presented or how solid of a case the prosecution put on but from what little I know of the case it didn't really sound like murder.... I felt more like manslaughter was the proper charge and murder was a stretch from the beginning

So let me get this straight…
Karen Read, who drunk and angry …and who was furious with John (proven by rage-filled voicemails left the night of his death), dropped him off at 34 Fairview Road—the exact place he was found dead the next morning…
She then threw her Lexus SUV into reverse, hammered 75% throttle (confirmed by vehicle event recorder data), and backed up 88 feet at approximately 24 mph - drunk and angry …
Her right rear taillight shattered while backing up crazy fast (confirmed by vehicle inspection, photographs, and witnesses seeing it intact earlier that evening).
Fragments of that shattered taillight were forensically matched to Karen’s SUV and were found both in the snow at the scene and embedded in John O’Keefe’s clothing (confirmed in crime lab testimony and forensic reports).
John suffered a blunt force injury to the back of the head—with skull fractures and brain swelling—consistent with being knocked down by a reversing vehicle and falling backward, not an animal attack or indoor fight. This was backed by medical examiner testimony and injury modeling.
Then, in multiple recorded conversations, Karen admits her own doubts—saying, “I didn’t think I hit him, hit him… but could I have clipped him?” and “What if I hit his foot, or his knee, and he fell?”—these are statements of consciousness of guilt, and they came straight from her mouth, no spin.
Aaaaaaaand…
The entire prosecution theory was confirmed by the defense’s own expert witness, Dr. Daniel Wolfe. His crash dummy recreation matched the injuries, the taillight break pattern, and even the tear in John’s jacket. He testified that Karen’s Lexus could have caused those exact injuries…
And yet, despite all of this, … the jury couldn’t conclude that Karen hit John with her car?
I feel for John’s family that the person who killed him gets to walk free.
