The truth looks like a sickness to a world built on lies.

I suffered from depression throughout most of my teens and 20s, i thought i was just chemically inbalanced or something wrong with me but i didnt realise i needed to feel the depth of sadness and despair in order to grow up, it was not some chemical balnce that was causing it but a deep psychological need to change and grow up

I wrote my BA thesis on trauma content on TikTok and what I found was that the adoption of trauma therapy by pop-psychology and young therapists is keeping young people in a cycle of seeing themselves as victims. Most young people need a push towards growing up and not constant validation of their emotions.

Its ok for people to feel anxious and off in this society. For some reason people think something is wrong with THEM and get professional help to "fix" it. Very Brave New World.

When your entire society is sick with greed, how can your people be healthy?

I agree 100%. Especially calling everything some sort of illness that you just need to accept and get medication for.

We are in the midst of psychological warfare... spiritual warfare...the best thing to have in your arsenal is psychology and science classes. Know thyself...understand human behavior and how the Universe around you works. Whether you are fighting for good..or fighting for evil, you are still fighting...never knowing peace. How does one disarm evil when you constantly give it all your attention?

Jesus this put the headline to something I've been privately thinking for YEARS. Not to mention how irresponsible it is to assume everyone can even access quality therapeutic care, especially today. But that's a whole other side of the coin

This is why i love this channel. It really focuses on the individual taking accountability, understanding that uncontrollable circumstances happen but still offering solutions to build resilience. Needless to say i am very excited for this video. It seems like (some) modern therapy is producing people with greater narcissistic tendencies than ever before.

Everything seems to be about this nowadays. Problem with labeling people defective is they believe it's beyond their power to change. I mean after all you can't think your way out of diseasse.

It definitely isn't the lack of economic opportunity, affordable Healthcare, or housing.

We reached the point where in some of the highest orders that determine how and what helps people isn't determined anymore by merrit, but by advocates and activists. My personal favorite example was the change of the DSM 5 to the DSM 5 TR in terms of everything Trans related. It is the diagnostic tool for psychiatrist and if yoh do something that is not in there you can get in big trouble. The WHO explicitly wrote about those changes that it was done to reduce stigmatization and help those people, while then admitting in the next sentence that they have no data backing up what helps...... And the more data is gathered the more it looks like those changes where worthless.

I wonder to myself oftentimes: -Do we, as a society, even care anymore about our legacy? Do we care about what kind of society we create for our kids? While all this ”green talk” is so popular, the schizoid part of reality is that we, instead of taking the TIME to solve our issues with causes the dissonance with health, both mental and physical, we medicate, and we try even harder to be more time efficient, to be more productive, to always stay busy. It is no wonder that youth may wonder what the hell we were thinking, giving our last straw of power away to corporations, and leaders that only serves their own interests. But the difference of modern slavery in contrast to ”medieval times” is today we willingly sign our rights away, because why? The contracts are set up in a way that you really have no other choice ☺️

Tim Fletcher, Gabor Mate & Pete Walker's recent work on c-ptsd is life changing for me & countless others. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. I don't like academics either.

I was in a "big brother" program several years ago, a 10 yr olds aunt kept sending him to "therapy" when he stole and lied, I told her he needs someone besides me to make his life suck so bad he stops doing it. He's mid 20s now and last I heard no job in a gay relationship with a guy on disability

It's a feminist growth industry. "Feelings" are the foundation of current western societies.
