I am happy to present Version 1.4.3 of the TOTK Randomizer! This update adds more Minigame-related goals to the Goal Mode, as well as refining the gameplay with nifty changes, optimizations and bugfixes to make the gameplay experience even better!
As I mentioned, new goals have been added to the Goal Mode - welcome 11 Minigame-related goals, where you have to either reach a Perfect Score or a Perfect Time, depending on the Minigame type! Please note that the term "Perfect" means to reach the requirement for the best possible reward in the respective minigame, e.g. getting the Gold Rupee reward. Good luck and have fun perfectioning your skills in all of the TOTK Minigames! Please take a look at the preview screenshots to get to know the Minigames locations.
As for changes, the chance for animals and enemies to spawn while fighting the Demon King's Army, the Temple bosses and Demon King Ganondorf himself has been increased and the vanilla randomized spawn system no longer spawns animals, enemies and objects in places where they are not supposed to spawn. The custom spawn system is unaffected. Also, made it so that if a Zonai text announcement is incoming while a location name is being displayed in the middle of the screen, the location name is closed to prevent UI overlapping. The first terminal, which activates the cogs and its connected door, as well as the second terminal, which activates a bridge, are now unlocked from the beginning to save time, and the Decayed Master Sword will be removed and the game logo intro cutscene will no longer play if the player chooses to go to the Temple of Time immediately at the start.
As for bugfixes, a bug has been fixed that got introduced in v1.3.2 where various animals, enemies and objects that usually drop only one item did not drop randomized items and a bug has been fixed where a Blood Moon would occur at the Demon Dragon fight and reset your progress due to memory issues by clearing memory right before the fight. Lastly, a bug has been fixed where no Lights of Blessing and Fairies would be given and only Sage's Wills instead.
As for optimizations, the performance and memory usage have been theoretically improved due to the decreased spawn room of vanilla actors. Lastly, 8 files have been removed from the mod and therefore around 100 KB have been saved, next to some general code optimization.
