Who's the best Thing?

@Clippy406

Micheal Chiklis and it's not even close. The fact he was so dedicated to the character that he was willing to where all that make up and prosthetics puts him well above the rest.

Stan Lee himself said that Michael Chicklis is his favorite performance out of all of his characters brought to screen

Michael. I like his dedication to the role and his voice makes the catchphrase better. The Thing sounds the best rocky.

2005 was perfect I still got a give credit to the new one too he doesn't feel like the character but he still stood out for me as him playing the thing like a completely different person and it wasn't all bad infact it was great I'd give the new one a 8/10 that's ebon moss of course

I love how down to earth and emotionally awarw Ebon's thing is....but who's idea was it to make him not like the clonbering time catchphrase?!?! That unironicallys very annoying. Micheals thing might be a bit shorter tempered than I'd like, but he's dealing with a lot of BS so that's fair, and over all definetly portrays the tormented anguish of ben's plight well while also still making him feel like a tough but considerate fellah.

I'd pick micheal due to his performance as the thing, the voice and his dynamic with his team as for ebon he also has good dynamics with with his team and he looks like the real thing...its just he doesn't sound or feel like the thing, for me hes more like korgs cousin from another planet 😂

You know what? We haven't gotten to know Ebon that much, even if we still have other movies ahead for us to see him in the role more, we assume that he's already gone through what Michael's has off screen, but with Michael's, we were there. For two movies.

I’m gonna have to give it to Micheal, first because of how dedicated he was to it that he insisted on doing practical make up for it, but also because I think his voice is better. Like Ebon is great (and looks amazing) but I feel being someone of that size/being made out of stone would give you a gruffer voice

1: Funny Thing is that the 1994 one was played by two separate people, and the guy who played Ben Grimm was taller than the guy who played Thing. I also love like how he changes back into his human form near the end of this movie out of complete nowhere because that is something that was very frequent in the early comics. 2: I like Ebon's Ben/Thing because his is the first one that doesn't feel like he is carrying the movie. Even the Jamie Bell version feels like, and was, the only good thing about that 2015 movie after it skipped a whole year when it came to an emotional stuff. And 3: I actually did like the design of him in the 2015 movie (NOT the nudity) because he wasn't just a buff bloke made of rocks. His on/off personal dilemma when it comes to being Thing is, aside from the physical handicaps, is his appearance and the people seeing him as some ugly monster before the nice guy Super Genius he is. I've never understood how you're supposed to get that from his Classic Thing look. Give me his original look, the time he got spiky from being doubly radiated or any other version of his look short of that "What If he continued to evolve and mutate?" 1 over the standard 1 anytime. The more "uglier" he looks, the better his personality comes through
