Tragically, a cargo plane operated by UPS Airlines a McDonnell Douglas MD-11 crashed shortly after takeoff from Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport in Kentucky on November 4, killing at least seven people and injuring 11 more.
The aircraft was en route to Honolulu when it suffered a severe failure and exploded near the company’s global cargo hub, prompting a large-scale emergency response and investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board.
