Getting a Christmas tree was one of the most exciting times of the year for me growing up. My dad would let me pick the tree out with my brother. We'd weigh the options, look at the same row of trees 10 times, weigh the prices against the shape. this one is too oblong, this one is too tall and skinny. It takes time to find the right one. Or when I got a little older and if we'd waited too long and it's like 4 days before Christmas then you're standing in a parking lot looking at the 4 trees left that are kinda sad and nobody wanted. "Unique" tree it is that year then.
Personally I love a good Douglas fir , I know some people enjoy a Spruce, that's fair. I think some of the fun part was just knowing it's getting closer to time to open presents but even seeing it down by the fire place was nice.
Colored lights or white lights is a tough choice, personally I like a bunch of colored lights on there, it looks warmer more inviting. Also less professional. White lights belong on a tree in a building lobby, no offensive if you like them!
This is our first Christmas Tree as a whole family. Merry Christmas from the Cappy's! Hope you all have a great a blessed new year guys.
