Even if you were to never make another video, the historical work and content you've already produced is a monumental achievement. I think it will stand the test of time, even as most other YouTube content fades into oblivion.

Take care of yourself, my friend. You don't owe us anything and have done so much already. Hopefully you will be back soon enough, but if not, know that your work has been greatly appreciated.

Disappointed? Not at all. Just so grateful for your freely given scholarship, your grasp of the big picture and your historical sure footedness, with as much truth as you could find. You're a model teacher and guide, and you'll always have our undying thanks. Rest assured that we have taken up plenty of your batons, and are running with them. When you want to take them back and lead once more, we will happily pass them back for you. No soldier left behind. Especially when he's been a true leader and all star general. God Bless and keep you Tik. Watch us go,grow and ensure youre acknowledged and thanked with every victory to come! Well done ,good and faithful servant. Enjoy your RnR. The good guys win. You'll come to know that soon, I'm sure!

I do rarely comment, Sir. But I have seen the magnitude of your work, your ethos, how brave you have been. Your videos helped me, when I was strained and burnout. Please take care of yourself, enjoy the spring time, the sun, the nature, the books you loved as a young man. You proved yourself and you gave us a lot. Thank you Sir. Sincerely

The Stalingrad series is one of the greatest historical works produced. Thank you from the bottom of my heart as it was very important, educating, and entertaining and I am a fan of yours for life. I hope you find some things to enjoy in your life.

You've produced a high quality product consistently for years. You have an extensive library of densely packed videos covering a wide range of topics. There is more than enough content to keep old and new subscribers busy until your return. Feel better, rest up!

Your work is a juggernaut of truth and you are not enslaved or bound to create. In a sense, you are an artist. An artist of historical interpretation/ explication. It is our privilege to be able to witness your works. Now go and unwind, and find the self that has gone astray. Cheers, best wishes. Look forward in hopefully seeing more content down the road. If not we have plenty to chew on. God speed.

Thank you Tik. For sharing and opening up. For all you have been doing for our civilization , for all your hard work. You are a great man and I admire your path blazing achievements. If i may wish you a happy, easy, speedy, and enjoyable well deserved time off for recovery. The work you have done has become an asset to our culture. Much love, Yair, a fellow historian and your biggest fan, from Jerusalem

You have produced the greatest, most intelligent ww2 content I have ever engaged with in over 45 years of reading ww2 history and opened my mind with other content. Thank you so much. I wish you all the best, whatever you do x.

Tik, you’ve already produced such a high volume of the highest quality content, most of which is not close to being duplicated or matched in intellectual horsepower. You are a renaissance man, Tik, and please take the time you need to recover, reload, and resume with the next chapter. Thank you!

Peace of Christ be with you 🙏 Thank you for all your videos of such important history. You have helped me put to rest a lot of questions in my mind for decades! You deserve a vacation, well earned! 🙂

No disappointment here either. Only gratitude for everything you have done. I am a fellow historian suffering from burnout too - possibly "autistic burnout," so I think I can both sympathize and understand. I wish you all the best, and will continue to enjoy your videos even if you do not make more of them. I have already seen many of them more than once, and I enjoy them just as much the second and third time that I view them as I do the first time. You truly are a great historian, and your work is much appreciated, also by your peers. 👍

Your Stalingrad epic was masterly. I have never read/seen such an excellent presentation of a difficult and complex subject in my 74 years on earth. You are a born historian. You definitely need a rest and will be missed.

First Lindy, then David Fletcher, now you TIK. Its all too much. But to misquote Bogie, we'll always have Panzers! Will miss you but all the best and I hope everything works out. You kept me going through Covid, got me back into history and cost me a fortune in obscure german books! Thank you. Now onto your steed good Knight and go with our best wishes.

TIKhistory
As I've just said in the latest video on the conference (released a minute or so ago), I’m taking a full break from YouTube in order to overcome the burnout I’ve been suffering from for the past 5 years. It’s gotten to the point where I can’t even concentrate for 5 minutes, and I’m fed up with it all. I’ve sacrificed myself for too long in order to produce this content, but I’m now miserable and not enjoying life. Having gone to the conference in Berlin, and having met so many happy and intelligent people there, I’ve realised that I need to sort this out once and for all, and so that’s what I’m going to do.
My intention is to take some time off, rest, recover, and then decide what I’m doing. The “spark” has gone out, as someone said, and I’ve realised that I can’t overcome this burnout without stopping the car completely and taking apart the engine.
I hope you all understand, I’m sorry for disappointing you, and I wish you guys well.
