I hear stories like this all the time, and it never fails to put me in a bad mood. Something similar to this happened to TheFatRat, which in turn resulted in him having to copyright claim his music (which he didn't want to do) I'm really not sure how this kind of stuff happens and why anybody would ever do that, but unfortunately it's one of the downsides to being a creator (on any platform, really!) I hope this gets resolved, it's an absolute insult that they would sample your vocals for their own usage without permission.

I listen to the song and honestly it hurt my ears! It's your song with random noise covering over. Not even a different person singing it's literally your song just with added instrument over it. Hopefully this problem gets resolved! You're a true artist and these people are just trying to take credit for something you made!

It doesn't even sound like an original song sampling your audio, it just sounds like a remix over top of it. At least when you search "they call him sailor" your video is the second result, but this makes me wonder how many other artists they're ripping and striking like this

I have seen this happen to so many other people. It is so annoying that that happens. It reminds me just how Ai is stealing paintings to learn.... this is not ok... like at least record it yourself then... but also a lot of youtubers are struggeling on youtube because people can just report without proof

The artist, Wonka_CTK, has used my vocals from "My Jolly Sailor Bold" in their own track, "They call me Sailor". They're profiting off of it on multiple platforms, and the only reason I even knew about this was because their publisher hit ME with a copyright claim. This is insane. I've disputed the claim on YouTube, and sent counter claims on videos using that song. I've also reached out to the artist themselves. Why do people think it's okay to sample someone else's work without even talking to them first? I understand the EDM (and even the pop) community uses samples from songs all the time. But my gosh, you can't just grab what you like and claim it as your own. Let's do better, fellow artists. We're all in this together.
