The great departed souls felt like a finale in the second half and turned up the gear for the final two episodes, while Turnabout Legacy is just fantastic in every single aspect that you would expect from a strong Ace Attorney episode. Honeslty, between these two I can't choose.

Great departed soul is second here but it really Isin't getting the love for the hype in the courtroom segments. It was the first instance of us hearing the 'Omen' soundtrack with the writers being all "You thought this was over? Not yet!", while forcing the player, who, by then, thinking drebber was the killer, would've been otherwise relaxed. Very enticing. That's what happened to me, atleast.("Wait, THERE'S MORE!?") This trial is ALSO the first hint we're given at Herlock Sholmes being actually competent in his work, stalking out Madame Tusspelle's wax place room thing

Turnabout Legacy is excellent. One of the best cases in the entire series. Unambiguously the best third case in the series But dammit I just have so much more personal attachment to Academy

My favourite case three is in OG Great Ace Attorney. It’s an interesting introduction to the British court system & pseudo acts as Ryunosuke’s Farewell my Turnabout at the littoral very beginning of his career.
