I want to chime in quick on this and tell you all how much we appreciate your enthusiasm for the project! Obviously this batch took way longer than expected. The painstaking attention to detail that went into this really defines the concept of "labor of love." It would have been significantly easier--and much faster--to just rescore the episodes from scratch with our own music. The issue with that is the whole mission of this project is to lead directly into episode 68 and beyond, so old tracks, including some that were neither released on CD nor previously ripped from the Blu-rays, had to be included or else it would not present with an appropriate level of authenticity. All of us, but Marcelo in particular, spent a ridiculous amount of time ensuring that we could make that happen, and I can only assure you that the end product is worth the wait. I'll echo Marcelo's sentiments--thanks for your patience, and trust me, you're in for a treat! -Joe

Holy crap I can't wait! I figure the longer it takes for a batch of episodes to release, the more it took to get it just right, and as they say, you can either do it fast or you can do it right. I'd much rather it be done right, even if that means I'm waiting on the edge of my seat lol. On a personal note, this is just what I need. My life over the past few months has been filled with much stress and uncertainty. I lived with an extended family member until May, when that relationship and trust, built up over several years, was shattered and I was displaced from the place where I'd lived over the past 4 years due to a significant change in said family member's personality, and not a change for the better lol. Searching for a new long term place has been a painstaking process. The knowledge that more episodes are on the horizon, plus the excitement once they start releasing makes the upcoming months of craziness a bit more manageable, so thank you guys for all you continue to do. Dragon Ball has regularly been a form of escapism for me during dark and/or uncertain times, like now. A Faulconerized version of the Saiyan/Namek Sagas is honestly a dream come true.

Happy 4th of July!! To everyone who's been patiently waiting for our Namek episodes all year, I wanna quickly thank you for your enthusiasm and frequent poking/prodding. I promise, you won't wait too much longer. These episodes were a lot of pressure and proved extraordinarily difficult. Even though we never rushed, it still took us a long time. A day rarely went by when we weren't working on this in some capacity. But it's been a challenge to carefully reverse-engineer a lot of the work and style of the very first in-house FUNimation episodes from 1999. We all flew to Texas and learned some pointers from Mike Smith personally to try and carefully match his style. A lot of things would not have been possible without the months of work and planning we did.
The next batch includes 14 episodes, the bulk of the Namek Saga (45-58). As the editor/planner, I was always careful to try and build off the Ginyu Force episodes backwards, using and phasing out most of our music from the Saiyan Saga, while also trying to deliver new memorable themes on the side. As a result, these episodes were a lot more challenging than we could've ever imagined. But it's important to feel like you could watch these and then get to Ep 68 without feeling like anything changed.
So with that, stay tuned! We're wrapping up the last of it and we'll be putting out fun little trailers and promos to help get you excited!
-Marcelo
