Unfortunately this seems to be happening all over YouTube at the moment. Eventually it should get sorted out but until then everyone should remain careful and cautious over some comments and accounts.

Not just you my dude, pretty much every channel Iām subbed to, in which I frequently comment, has been plagued by these scammers. Need to farm some melted mushrooms and soap the Fuq up ;)

The new pestilence on YouTube. I have seen these scams on so many channels and was often the "chosen one" who won a big prize. Gladly I am immune to these kind of things. What me really pi**es me of is the fact, that YouTube hasn't found a solution how to manage this problem, since it isn't happening since yesterday. I mean, honestly, it seems like YouTube is totally ignoring this problem.

Yeah this has been happening to everybody for a while. I've been reporting them when I see them but youtube needs to up their game. At the very least, they need to add a "scam" option for reporting because it's more serious than just spamming.

There's a tool from ThioJoe that you could try and use. Also, make sure to "Increase Strictness" in your video's comment settings.

PSA.
For whatever reason my latest video has been targeted by automated comment spam, fake 'sunlightblade' accounts are pretending to offer prizes and things of that sort. I have been deleting hundreds of these fake comments but as you can imagine, fighting automation is difficult and tedious.
Please don't fall for these comments! I am trying various ways to stop them such as banning the words/emojis they use but overall it's important just to be cautious.
